当金の裏側にまでまわって予熱効率が良く、又アークエ

部材(9)とを溶接するときは裏当金(1)の一端をト
ッププレート(8)の上面に当接させて該裏当金(1)
を上側の柱構造部材(7)の側面に点付けし、それぞれ
の両部材間を溶接する。これらの溶接に際して熱が裏当
金(1)の凹部(2a)を通ってその裏側にまでまわる
ため予熱効率が良く、又、アークエネルギーによるジェ
ット気流が対流せずに凹部(2a)を透過するため、溶

凸状の凹部を通って該裏当金の裏側にまでまわって予熱
効率が良く、又アークエネルギーによるジェット気流が
対流せずに前記凹部を透過して溶接欠陥がなくなり、更
に閉鎖溶接に伴う噴き出しがなくなり等圧状態が保て、
又ガスシールド方式によるアーク溶接には特に効果的で
