記トーチから噴射する1次シールドガスおよびシ
ールドボツクスから噴射する2次シールドガスに
より溶接部を保護する狭開先アーク溶接機におい
て、 前記シールドボツクスの溶接進行方向前部にア
ーク監視用切欠き部を設け、 2次シールドガス供給チユーブのシールドガス
噴射口を前記切欠き部よりも上方のシールドボツ
クス内部に向かつて開口させた ことを特徴とする狭開先アーク溶接機。 2 請求項1に記載の狭開先アーク溶接機におい
て、 前記2次シールドガス供給チユーブからのシー
ルドガスの流れを均一化するガスレンズを前記シ
ールドガス噴射口と前記アーク監視用切欠き部と
の間の前記シールドボツクス内に設けたことを特
徴とする狭開先アーク溶接機。 3 請求項1または2に記載の狭開先アーク溶接
機において、 前記溶接進行方向前部の切欠き部上方の2次シ
ールドガス噴射口からのシールドガス噴射量を前
記溶接進行方向に直角な方向な2次シールドガス
噴射口からの噴射量の約2倍とすることを特徴と
