Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the occurrences of read errors and damages on information by fixing fine substances by means of an adhesive applied to the inner surface of a case and thereby cleaning the air closed up tightly or halfclosed in the case. CONSTITUTION:When a magnetic disk 2 fixed on a rotary spindle 5 rotates at high speed, an air current 7 is generated in the closed case 1 due to the centrifugal force. The fine substances inside the case are moved by the air current 7, however, when the air passes through an air filter 3 provided in the case 1, these substances are eliminated. Such fine substances which can not be eliminated even with the filter 3 are fixed by the adhesive 4 applied on the surface. As a result, the air inside the case can be cleaned, and accordingly the destruction that may occur to the information due to read errors or head crushes are reduced.
