Abstract

PURPOSE:To contrive labor saving to a large extent by automating prime- coating work, by using non-metallic paint having a color akin to that of the metallic paint of top coat as prime-coat. CONSTITUTION:Chemical forming treatment is applied to the surface of the outer box constituting a storage chamber such as a refrigerator to form a chemical forming film 6 and non-metallic paint 7 is subsequently applied to said outer box 1 by automatic electrostatic painting to perform prime-coating. Next, a metallic paint 8 having an aluminum powder mixed therewith is sprayed by air to perform top coat painting. At this time, by making the color of the non-metallic paint 7 akin to that of the metallic paint 8, the base color of the outer box 1 is not seen through and good metallic feeling can be held.

(b) Conventional technology Conventionally, metallic coating of this type of outer box was used, for example, on the Tokuko Sho 5B-1
As shown in Japanese Patent No. 9352, metallic paint of the same color mixed with aluminum powder and enamel was applied to the plate surface as an undercoat and a topcoat.

(c) Problems to be solved by the invention As mentioned above, metallic paint was applied by applying two or more layers of metallic paint.
Because metallic paint contains aluminum powder, it is easily charged and ignited, so it cannot be used with automatic paint machines. For this reason, painting work had to be done manually using air spray, requiring a great deal of manpower to apply two coats, and requiring a large investment in equipment for explosion-proofing.

(d) Means for Solving the Problems The present invention will be explained with reference to embodiments.
) After the surface is treated with a chemical conversion film (6), a non-metallic paint (7) is applied by automatic electrostatic coating to provide an undercoat, and then a topcoat is applied with a metallic paint (8) by air spray. At this time, non-metallic paint (7)
is a similar color to the metallic paint (8).

(*) Function According to the present invention, the base color of the outer box does not show through due to the non-metallic paint of a similar color. Therefore, the metallic feel of the overcoated metallic paint is not impaired. Furthermore, since the undercoating with non-metallic paint is an automatic operation, significant labor savings can be achieved.

(f) Embodiments Next, embodiments of the present application will be explained with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 shows a perspective view of an outer box (1) of a refrigerator to which the present invention is applied. The outer box (1) consists of a top surface (2) and left and right side surfaces (3) and (4) by bending a strip steel plate, and the lower ends of the left and right sides (3) and (4) are welded to the front plate (5). Connect and configure by.

FIG. 2 shows an enlarged sectional view of the outer box (1) at a proper location. First, a chemical conversion film (6) made of zinc phosphate or the like is formed on the outer surface of the outer box (1) to increase the adhesion of the paint, and then a non-metallic paint (7) made of a non-metallic paint such as urethane paint is applied on top of it. A metallic paint (8) in which aluminum powder is mixed with enamel is further applied thereon. The unique shine of this metallic paint (8) improves the beauty of the outer box (1) and increases the added value of the refrigerator. In addition, the non-metallic paint (7) has a similar color to the metallic paint (8). Use the one.

Next, the procedure for painting the outer box (1) will be explained using the flowchart in FIG. 3 and FIG. 4. Since the steel plate constituting the outer box (1) is coated with oil in advance to prevent contamination, it is degreased with a predetermined degreasing liquid, and then this degreasing liquid is removed by washing with water. Next, a chemical conversion coating treatment is performed to form the above-mentioned chemical conversion coating (6) on the outer surface of the steel plate, and then the excess treatment liquid is washed off with water, and then the steel plate is drained and dried. After completing the above, the non-metallic paint (7) is then applied with an undercoat by automatic electrostatic coating in a predetermined coating booth, and dried at -1 room temperature. At this time, by drying once, the occurrence of surface irregularities is suppressed and deterioration of gloss is prevented. After this drying is completed, a top coat is applied by hand-spraying the metallic paint (8), which is heated and dried to harden the baking, and the surface condition is inspected. In this case, heating and drying can be completed in a short period of time since the undercoat has already dried.

The difference from the conventional procedure in the above procedure is explained in Fig. 4. Conventionally, both the undercoat and the second coat were done by hand with air spray, but in the present invention, the undercoat is automatically and statically applied. Since it can be done by electro-coating, it can greatly improve work efficiency and save labor. In addition, since the non-metallic paint (7) is of a similar color to the metallic paint (8), the base color of the outer box (1) will not be seen through, and the good metallic feel of the top coat can be maintained. It is.

(g) Effects of the Invention According to the present invention, it is possible to automate the undercoating without impairing the metallic feel of the metallic coating, thereby greatly improving painting workability and saving labor. It is something that can be planned. This makes it possible to reduce costs without losing the added value of the °C storage.
