Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the rust preventive quality of the hemming connection part of a door by applying a heat curing resin tape to said part before mounting a door to a main automobile body, and applying a sealing material to the remining part of the connection after electrodeposit coating. CONSTITUTION:The external surfaces of outer and inner panels 1 and 2 aligned to each other is hemming connected and an automobile door 4 is thereby consti tuted. A door hinge 5 is welded or bolted to the inner panel 2 of the door 4. In this door assembly process, a heat curing resin tape 6 is applied to a concealed portion behind the door hinge 5 before or after the fitting thereof to the door 4. Then, the door 4is so fitted to the pillar 7 of a main body as to be freely capable of turning via the door hinge 5. Thereafter, the main body fitted with the door 4 is applied with an electrodeposit coat through an electrode posit process. After the application of said coat, the remaining part of the hemming connection part 3 is applied with a sealing material 8 of PVC system, using a gun.

リング材を塗布し、このシーリング材を中塗塗装におけ
る焼付工程によって固化してシーリングするようにして
いる。(実開昭52−6310号公報参照)〔発明が解
決しようとする問題点〕 しかしながらこのような従来のシーリング工法にあって
は、ドアをメインボディに取り付けた状態でシーリング
材を塗布するため、ドアを開いた状態でもヘミング接合
部のドアヒンジ取付部に対応した部位すなわちドアヒン
ジ裏の隠れた部位にシーリング用ガンの注入部を挿入す
ることが非常に困難で、往々にしてシーリングの出来な
い部分を残す結果となり、市場での発情の原因となると
いう問題点があった。

4にドアヒンジ5を取り付ける前又は後に、ヘミング接
合部3の一部具体的にはドアヒンジ5取付部に対応する
部位すなわちドアヒンジ5裏の隠れた部位に、半硬化状
態で粘着性を有する熱硬化樹脂テープ6を貼付する。こ
の熱硬化樹脂テープは例えばエポキシ樹脂等で形成され
るものである。
