This kind of metal mask for screen printing is mainly used when mechanical strength, elasticity, and durability are required during printing, and it has a fine mesh on one side of the integrated metal body. The plate is made by forming a pattern on the other side in communication with the mesh, and by bringing the pattern side into close contact with the substrate and extruding ink from the mesh through the pattern, an image corresponding to the pattern is created on the substrate. is now being printed.

By the way, in the conventional metal mask, as shown in FIG. A state in which the pattern 3 is communicated with the mesh 2 by etching the remaining depth b of the other surface in the same manner with the same etching solution. It is formed by Therefore, when forming one, the etching solution that is common to the formation of both may corrode and destroy the other, if the etching time exceeds the etching time.

It is very difficult to control and set it strictly.

The purpose of the present invention is to solve such problems, and the metal body is constructed by integrating different types of metals with different etching solutions, and a mesh is formed on one side of the different types of metals, and a pattern is formed on the other side. The present invention provides a metal mask plate making method in which the metal mask is formed by etching for a longer time than the time required to corrode each depth with a liquid.

The metal mask plate making method of the present invention will be explained below with reference to the drawings. As shown in FIG. It is composed of These dissimilar metals 4 and 5 may be, for example, a stainless steel plate and a copper plate, and the mesh 2 is formed on the metal 4 of the stainless steel plate by corrosion with an etching solution suitable for it, and the metal 5 of the copper plate is etched differently from the above. Pattern 3 is formed by the corrosion of the liquid. In this case, of course, the etching solution for metal 4 on the stainless steel plate will not corrode metal 5 on the copper plate.
On the other hand, the etching solution for metal 5 on the copper plate is designed not to corrode the metal 4 on the stainless steel plate, so when forming mesh 2 and pattern 3, the etching time is slightly overdone so that the etching solution does not corrode metal 4 and 5 on the stainless steel plate. It can be reliably formed within the range of .

In addition, various combinations of the dissimilar metals 4 and 5 are possible in addition to the above, but since they are used for screen printing, they have elasticity, are not easily corroded by ink, etc., and are easy to etch. material is preferred.

As described above, according to the metal mask plate making method of the present invention, the mesh 2 and the pattern 3 can be formed independently and separately by corrosion with different etching solutions, so that there is no possibility that the other will be destroyed when one is formed. Therefore, the control is very easy and the mesh 2 and pattern 3 can be formed reliably. The structure of the metal mask itself is simple, such as by integrating dissimilar metals such as a cladding material, so it is easy to manufacture, and it is easy to work because it only needs to be subjected to corrosion treatment in the same way as in the conventional case.
