Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance conformability of a squeegee end a mask and enable a thick printed film to be formed at an arbitrary local part by a construction wherein printing holes are provided for printing a thick-film paste in a desired shape on a substrate, and an emulsion for defining the printing holes is constituted of a plurality of layers according to a desired printing thickness. CONSTITUTION:A mesh form mask is provided with a partial emulsion layer 13 at an arbitrary local part, on the side opposite to the side to be touched by a squeegee. Since the surface of the mask to be touched by the squeegee is flat, a squeegee lifetime of an ordinary number of strokes can be secured, and the partial emulsion layer makes it possible to form a thick printed film 14 at an arbitrary local place. A pattern 14 printed to be thicker than an ordinary printed film through the partial emulsion layer 13 and a pattern 15 printed through an ordinary emulsion layer 12 are simultaneously formed on a substrate 16 comprising alumina or the like.
