Description
【考案の詳細な説明】
この考案は、外部電極型放電表示装置、内部電
極型放電表示装置、螢光表示装置などの表示装
置、とくにそれら表示装置の電圧印加のための電
極構造に関する。[Detailed Description of the Invention] This invention relates to display devices such as external electrode type discharge display devices, internal electrode type discharge display devices, and fluorescent display devices, and particularly to electrode structures for applying voltage to these display devices.
これら表示装置の電極群は、銀ないしその他の
貴金属等のペーストでシルクスクリーンプリント
などにより形成され、これを前記表示板の外囲器
の余白部へ、前記外囲器のシール部を通して引き
出し、しかる後、外部より電圧を印加せしめるた
めに、前記余白部において、リード線等を半田付
もしくはリード線を半田付せずにそのまま、ソケ

しかし乍ら、これ等の構造に於て、例えば銀ペ
ーストを用いる時は、前記外囲器の余白部の雰囲
気、特に湿度に対し弱く、長時間の放置または電
圧印加により、マイグレーシヨン、電気分解等が
起り誤表示の原因となるなど信頼性に欠ける場合
があつた。このため銀にくらべ比較的安定な金な
ど貴金属のペーストを用いる方法もあるが、価格
的に非常に高いものとなる欠点がある。この欠点
を改良するため、価格が低廉でかつ空気中での安
定度のよいニツケルペーストを用いて、外囲器内
及び外の電極群を一度のシルクスクリーンプリン
トで形成する実験を行つた所、このニツケルペー
スト膜を通して外囲器内へ空気がリークする欠点
が見出された。この原因はニツケルペーストの焼
成後におけるニツケル粒とバインダーとして入つ
ているガラスフリツトのなじみが悪くややポーラ
スな組成となり、ニツケル粒とガラスフリツトの

The reason for this is thought to be that after the nickel paste is fired, the nickel grains and the glass frit contained as a binder do not mix well with each other, resulting in a slightly porous composition, resulting in leakage through the grain boundaries between the nickel grains and the glass frit.

ケルペーストを焼付た電極、6は封着部である。
図において6の封着部内において銀ペーストを焼
付た電極3と、ニツケルペーストを焼付けた電極
5を接続する。この構造によれば、価格が低廉で
かつ封着部6の素材であるフリツトガラスとのな
じみがよく、銀ペースト電極部分が封着部内にあ
るので、リークがないという利点を有し、且つ、
前記外囲器の余白部の電極は、空気中にて安定な
ニツケルとなつているので、長時間の放置、電圧
印加に対し、マイグレーシヨン、電気分解等の欠
点は超らない。この利点はさらに表示装置と外部
回路の接続にコネクターを通じこのワンタツチの

以上の如く、本考案によれば低廉な電極材料を
用いて安定な動作を行う表示装置を得ることが出
来る。尚前述の例は外部電極型放電表示装置に限
られることなく、外囲器を通して電圧を印加する

電極群とを有する表示装置において、前記外囲器
内部の電極群が銀ペーストの焼成により構成さ
れ、この電極群に電圧を印加する電極群がニツケ
ルペーストの焼成により形成され、前記銀ペース
トの焼成による電極群の一端と、前記ニツケルペ
ーストの焼成による電極群の一端とが前記外囲器
のシール部内からはみ出ないようにシール部内に
て電気的接触をなさしめた事を特徴とする表示装
