The materials commonly used for footwear are:
The coverings for footwear include leather, fabric, non-woven fabric, synthetic resin sheets, synthetic resin leather, etc. The inner linings of the coverings include the same materials, soft sponge sheets, and composites made by combining soft sponge sheets with other materials. There are sheets etc. Various materials are also used as insoles inside footwear, but composite sheet materials made from a combination of soft sponge sheets and other materials have been used to improve the feel of the foot and create a cushioning effect. Mainly used.

The composite material for footwear of the present invention consists of a compressed urethane foam sheet layer 3 with a thickness of 0.5 to 2.0 mm and a density of 100 to 300 kg/m 3 obtained by thermally compressing open-cell soft polyurethane foam, and an adhesive. It is made by integrating raw cloth layers 1 and 4 which have air permeability on one or both sides via layer 2. In addition, as a method for bonding and integrating the sheets, a so-called flame lamination method, in which the surfaces of the compressed urethane foam sheets are melted and bonded together using a gas burner or the like, may be used instead of using an adhesive.

The flexible polyurethane foam is open-celled and has extremely good air permeability. When heating and pressing this soft polyurethane foam with a hot press, the desired thickness is achieved by ensuring a clearance between the hot press plates, and by heating and pressing, the foam is compressed while maintaining its open cell properties, increasing its density and preserving its properties. Improves shapeability and elasticity.

A soft polyurethane foam with a density of 16 Kg/m 3 and a thickness of 10 m/m is compression molded using a flat plate press under the press conditions of a temperature of 220°C, a pressure of 1 Kg/cm 3 and a holding time of 50 seconds to a thickness of 1 m/m and a density of approx. A compressed foam sheet of 160 Kg/m 3 was obtained. An adhesive was applied to one side of this compressed foam sheet, and a nylon tricot fabric with a thickness of 0.3 m/m was adhered thereto to form a lining material for leather boots. In this embodiment, an adhesive was applied to the foam sheet and bonded to the raw cloth, but the adhesive may be applied to the raw fabric side and adhered to the foam sheet.

Since a thin foam sheet with a relatively high density of 100 to 300 kg/ m3 can be obtained, even extremely thin sheets laminated with thin flexible knitted fabrics have elasticity and shape retention without impairing the feel of the fabric. It has excellent properties and is suitable as a material for footwear.

Conventionally, there has been a composite material made by laminating soft polyurethane foam and raw cloth, and it has been used as a material for footwear, but it lacks elasticity and hardness as a material for footwear, and it is difficult to maintain. In order to improve shapeability, we have used non-woven fabrics that have better shape retention, thicker fabrics, and even deliberately used closed-cell rubber sponge sheets and vinyl sponge sheets that have poor air permeability. Compared to the above, since the present invention can be used alone, the work process can be omitted and the material cost can be reduced.
