4とからなるプレス成形型によつて押圧成形する
ものである。この際、カーペツト1を支持するた
め、カーペツト1の周縁を第3図に示すように把
手5,5のような支持機構によつて支持するか、
もしくは作業者の手によつて支持する。このよう
にカーペツト1周縁を支持する際、把手や作業者
の手がプレス成形型にはさみこまれないようにす
るため、カーペツト1の周縁をプレス成形型から
大巾にはみ出させて支持代1D,1Dを設けなく
てはならない。支持代1D,1Dは成形後裁断さ
れ廃棄せられるものである。

おいてカーペツト1を成形するには、、カーペツ
ト1を加熱してあらかじめ熱可塑性合成樹脂層1
Cを軟化させてから表面を上にして第5図に示す
ように下型3上に載置する。この状態で上型4を
下降させれば第6図に示すようにまずカーペツト
1の周縁が自動的に下型3周壁31と上型4の挾
持片4B内面との間隙6にはさみこまれて行き、
更に上型4の下降押圧により第7図のようにカー
ペツト1は押圧成形される。このときカーペツト
1周縁は下型3の凸型部分3Aが上型4の凹型部
分4Aにカーペツト1を介して嵌入するから、カ
ーペツト1は凸型部分3Aによつて押圧せられて
内側に引張られることになるが、カーペツト1周
縁は上型4の挾持片4B内面と下型3周壁との間
隙にはさみこまれているだけであるから、かかる
引張り力に対応してカーペツト1周縁は該間隙6
で挾持されつつも若干ずれ動くことが出来、カー
ペツト1に破れが生ずることを防止する。かくし
てカーペツト1は成形されて第1図に示すごとく
になる。
