Abstract

PURPOSE:To purify drain containing organic halogen compound efficiently by providing an aeration treatment device, an ultraviolet irradiation treatment device and an alkali purifying device. CONSTITUTION:Drain 1 containing organic chloride compounds such as trichloroethylene, tetrachloroethylene and the like are sent to an aeration treatment device 2, and aeration treated by air discharged from an air diffusing mechanism 4. Aeration treated drain is discharged as treated water 5. On the other hand, gas containing diffused off-gas 6 is sent to an ultraviolet irradiation treatment device 7 comprising an internal irradiation type low pressure mercury vapor lamp and irradiated with ultraviolet rays. By said process, off-gas is cracked into acid cracked gas 8 such as hydrogen chloride or the like, which is sent to an alkali washing device 9 and treated to be harmless. By said process, a treated water of good quality is obtained.

However, when using a conventional aeration treatment system with low processing costs, such as a biological treatment device, to purify these wastewaters, the organic components contained in the wastewaters can be efficiently treated, but the trichlorethylene mentioned above can be efficiently treated. ,
Organic halogen compounds such as tetrachlorethylene are difficult to treat, and there is a major problem in that they pollute the atmosphere if released into the atmosphere.
