(Prior art) When a warp beam is attached to the loom and the warp threads are passed through the weaving equipment, a new warp beam is installed in consideration of shortening the time required for the above-mentioned operation, which will improve the operating efficiency of the loom. A work procedure is generally adopted in which the warp threads are inserted into the heald frame and reed in advance. For example, as shown in FIG. 10, the warp beam 1, the heald frame 2 through which the warp threads T are passed, the reeds 3, or the dropper box 4 that accommodates the dropper for detecting warp thread breakage are placed around the warp beam 1. The warp beams 1, heald frames 2, reeds 3, and dropper boxes 4 are placed on the floor or suspended as shown in the figure. In other words, by adopting such a work procedure, it is no longer necessary to tie the warp threads on the new warp beam side and the warp threads on the woven fabric side one by one on the warp path from the warp beam to the heddle frame on the loom. Work time can be shortened.

The tips of the warp threads T passed through the dropper box 4, heald frame 2, and reed 3 can be connected to the woven fabric by connecting the ends of the woven fabric W cut in front of the reed 3 as shown in FIG. Generally, a method is adopted in which a plurality of cuts are made in the direction of the warp threads T, and the tips of the warp threads T are tied to the plurality of cloth pieces ω formed thereby in an appropriate number of pieces.

(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) However, in this method, not only does it take a considerable amount of time to tie the warp threads T and the cloth pieces ω, but also they are tied parallel to the weave width direction. The drawback is that the warp tension at each location must be balanced, which requires extremely high skill.

In addition, since the joint by knotting has an adverse effect such as the generation of wrinkles when winding the woven fabric, the operation of the loom must be stopped before winding the woven fabric around the cross roller, and the joint by tying should be removed. This necessitates the troublesome process of excluding the looms, resulting in a decrease in the operating efficiency of the loom.

The connection between the woven fabric piece W1 and the woven fabric W is wound around the cross roller 26 as it is woven, but unlike the conventional knotted connection, the woven fabric is wound around the cross roller 26 as it is woven. There is no fear that the connecting portion will have an adverse effect on the winding condition, such as the occurrence of winding wrinkles, and the woven fabric can be wound up smoothly. Therefore, instead of the troublesome process of removing the connection part, which is required in the conventional connection method of tying the warp threads to the fabric side, only the simple process of applying tension to the warp threads can be performed, and the machine work can be carried out after 01. The time when the machine stops operating is much shorter. Of course, if the tensile strength of the seamed connection is sufficient to withstand the warp tension value set during normal operation, the loom will apply the set tension value to the warp threads from the time the loom starts operating after work. In this way, the operating efficiency of the loom can be further improved.
