Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of clouding and rust on a decorative member by fixing said decorative member to a supporting plate via a material having low thermal conductivity, while bonding said supporting plate to the upper face side of a molded object body, and making said material function as a heat insulating material. CONSTITUTION:In a synthetic resin molded object, e.g., a wheel cover of a vehicle, a paint film 21 of a colored paint is given to the back side of a body 20 except the center part, which, in turn, is formed as a window part through which the inside can be seen. And, a decorative member 24 is installed on the inner part side of the body 20 with a space 23 being left toward the window part 22. In this structure, the decorative member 24 is fixed to a supporting plate 26 via a material having low conductivity. And, the supporting plate 26 is bonded to the inner face side of the body 20, by fitting the recessed receiving edge 26a formed on its peripheral edge onto an annular rib 20a erectingly formed along the window part 22 of the body 20.

Problems to be Solved by the Invention However, with this mounting structure for decorative members, if there is a large temperature difference between the outside air and the temperature of the vehicle body, the decorative member 6.15 will be directly affected by the temperature difference, causing the surface Dew condensation forms on the surface, causing the decorative surface to become cloudy. In particular, when a metal plate material such as an aluminum plate is used as the decorative member 6.15, condensation may occur significantly due to its high thermal conductivity, and there is a risk that the condensation may cause cracks on the decorative surface.

The material 25 is a double-sided adhesive tape made of foam having cushioning properties (for example, "
Scotch mount, etc.) can be used, and by sandwiching it between the decorative member 24 and the support plate 26 and pressure-sensitively adhering the adhesive attached to both sides of the foam sheet, it can be mounted between each opposing surface. It can be placed as desired. Further, this adhesive tape may be applied to the entire surface of the decorative member 24, or may be simply cut and pasted at several locations. As shown in FIG. 1, the support plate 26 has a concave receiver 26a formed on its periphery, and an L-shaped frame m 26b as shown in FIG. It is fixed to the inner surface side of the molded product main body 20 by fitting with an annular rib 20a formed upright along the shape. To fix it, adhesive is used to join the inner surface of the receiver 1926a and the tip end surface of the annular rib 20a, and the step surface of the frame edge 26b and the annular rib 20a are bonded together.
The inner circumferential surface can be joined from the protruding end surface. In addition, when the support plate 26 is made of a synthetic resin that is compatible with the main body of the molded product and preferably has the same or similar coefficient of thermal expansion, such as a synthetic resin of the same quality, each opposing surface may be subjected to ultrasonic waves, high-frequency vibrations, etc. They can also be tightly fixed by applying friction by spinning or the like and fusing them together by thermal welding due to the frictional heat. By fixing this support plate 26 to the inner surface of the molded product main body 20, the decorative member 24 is attached to the molded product main body 20 with a space 23 in between, corresponding to the window portion 22. The decorative member 24 may be placed in contact with the inner surface of the molded product main body 20, or may be placed slightly above the inner surface.

The synthetic resin molded product shown in FIGS. 3 to 6 forms a vehicle finisher similar to that shown in FIG. 10, and a part of the back surface of the main body 30 is left in a horizontal rectangular shape, and a colored coating film 31 is attached to the other parts. The horizontal rectangular portion serves as a window 32 through which the inside can be seen, and a decorative member 34 is attached inside with a space 33 interposed therebetween.

This decorative member 34 is also fixed to the support plate 36 by interposing a double-sided adhesive tape made of a foam sheet with cushioning properties as a material 35 with low thermal conductivity. The support plate 36 is provided with a continuous frame-shaped rising edge 36a as shown in FIGS. 3 to 5, and can be attached by fixing this end face to the molded product body 30. Further, as shown in FIG. 6, a continuous frame-shaped rising portion li 30a may be provided on the molded product main body 30 and the molded product body 30 may be fixed in contact with the molded product body 30.

In the decorative member mounting structure configured in this way, the heat conducted from the vehicle body side is blocked by the material 25.35 with low thermal conductivity and is suppressed from being transmitted to the decorative members 24.34.
The surroundings of the decorative members 24, 34 can be maintained at a temperature close to the outside air. Therefore, since the decorative members 24, 34 are not exposed to an atmosphere with temperature differences, no dew condensation occurs on their surfaces. In addition, materials with low thermal conductivity 25.3
When a material with cushioning properties is used as the material 5, it exhibits elasticity, so even if the molded product main body 20.30 vibrates with the vehicle body, the vibration is absorbed and not transmitted directly to the decorative member 24.34, so that the decoration can be improved. Even when the member 24.34 and the support plate 26.36 are molded from materials with different coefficients of thermal expansion, the cushioning material absorbs the difference in the amount of contraction and expansion between the two during cold and hot weather, so the decorative member 2
It also acts to prevent the peeling of 4.34. Furthermore, since the support plate 28.36 allows the decorative member 24.34 to be placed with a relatively large space between the support plate 28.36 and the molded product main body 20.30, the decorative member 24.34 can be placed with a sense of depth in form.
34 can be installed.
