If this is done, there is a problem in that the surface condition of the fiberboard is different, causing a sense of discomfort with the colored layer on the surface, and the cosmetic properties are significantly reduced.

To provide a method for producing a colored mineral fiber molded article that has a good appearance, does not impede sound absorption properties, and exhibits good cosmetic properties without conspicuous color unevenness due to a large number of uncolored parts scattered on the exposed surface. It is something to do.

Then, after adding a coloring agent to this kneaded product, it is kneaded again to color each granule of the kneaded product almost uniformly. Then, the colored kneaded product is formed into an appropriate shape, dried, and then the surface is It is characterized by grinding.

A suitable amount of a binder such as starch and an appropriate amount of water are added and kneaded. At this time, by kneading while adjusting the moisture content, the fibers are gathered together to form a few millimeters.
A kneaded material consisting of a large number of granules with a size of about 0 mm is obtained.

It is not necessary to form such uncolored areas in all granules, but the purpose can be sufficiently achieved if they are formed in granules having a size larger than a certain window.

It is preferable to use a mineral fiber mat in a wet state as the substrate, and if a wet mineral fiber mat is used as the substrate, the drying process can be performed in one step.

As a result, the uncolored portions appear to be scattered substantially uniformly over the entire surface, and a natural moth-eaten recessed pattern called a trapartine pattern consisting of voids between grains appears on the surface.

It is possible to form an even better trapachine pattern.

Because of this characteristic, it is possible to obtain a molded product that is uniformly colored even inside, and even after cutting or machining, it always has the same appearance as the surface, and therefore, it is suitable for various machining processes. It is possible to provide a molded article having a beautiful decorative surface that does not cause a sense of discomfort in color even when subjected to coloring.
