Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce size and to improve efficiency and productivity by providing a coil to the end face at the bottom end of a core, providing a connecting member consisting of a magnetic material and magnetically connecting thin magnetic alloy films provided on the inside surfaces of a C core and I core through the central part of the coil. CONSTITUTION:The coil 7 is provided by a patterning or lithographic means on the thin magnetic alloy film 2a provided on the bottom end face of the I core 2. More specifically, the coil is formed by successively laminating, for example, an SiO2 insulating film, Cu film and photoresist film on the thin magnetic alloy film 2a, and exposing a spiral coil pattern thereto, then immersing the core into an etching soln. The coil surface is coated with the SiO2 insulating film except terminal parts. A connecting member 8 is formed to have an L- shaped longitudinal section by a magnetic material having the saturation flux density equal to or higher than the saturation flux density of the thin magnetic alloy film. コア2の寸法を減少することができず、磁気抵抗もまた
低減を阻害され、磁気ヘッドの小型化、高効率化が実現
できなかった。

る磁性材料からなる接続部材を設け、前記コイル中央部
を貫通して前記CコアおよびIコア内側面に設けた磁性
合金薄膜相互間を磁気的に接続したことを特徴とする複
合型磁気ヘッド。
