Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of the stripe at a picked up picture, to obtain the faithful picture and to execute smoothly a picture processing by providing a light projecting means and a means generating a synchronizing signal synchronized with the image pickup timing. CONSTITUTION:A video projector 2 and a synchronizing signal separating device 3 are included and the synchronizing signal separating device 3 is connected through a distributing amplifier 4 to an image pickup device 5. The image pickup device 5 receives the reflecting light from the object surface and generates the image pickup picture of the object. Concerning the image pickup picture, a composite video signal (a) is outputted to a distributing amplifier 4 and distributed to a picture processing part and a synchronizing signal separating device. At the synchronizing signal separating device 3, a synchronizing signal (b) is separated from the composite video signal (a) and the synchronizing signal (b) is outputted to a video projector 2. Since the light projecting timing and the image pickup timing are synchronized, the stripe does not occur at the picked up picture and the picture processing can be smoothly executed.

<Background of the Invention> In a conventional digital illumination device, a light projection tube of a video projector is placed in the space above an object to be observed, and an illumination pattern obtained through image processing is projected from this projection tube onto the object. and provide prescribed lighting. However, when capturing an image of a symmetrical object using an imaging device, if the light projection timing and the image capture timing are not synchronized, horizontal stripes will appear in the drawn image, causing a major problem in image processing.

Note that in the embodiment described above, the synchronization signal is separated from the composite video signal a output from the imaging device 5 and is provided to the video projector 2, but the present invention is not limited to this.
Projection video signal C input to video projector 2
It is also possible to separate the synchronization signal and give it to the imaging device 5.

Further, in the above method, the synchronization signal is separated from the video signal and taken out. For example, as shown in the second leap, the synchronization signal generator f6 generates the synchronization signal d, and the distribution amplifier IF7 generates the synchronization signal d, which is then sent to the imaging device 5. It is also possible to use a method of distributing the information to the video projector 2 and the video projector 2.

Therefore, when the video projector 2 projects an illumination pattern onto an object and the imaging device 5 sweeps the image of this object, the light projection timing of the video projector 2 and the imaging timing of the imaging device 5 are synchronized by a synchronization signal. C
Since the synchronization is based on d or d, a faithful image can be obtained without stripes occurring in the captured image.
