Normally, when a driver wants to detect an obstacle, he or she continues driving while visually confirming the direction of the obstacle, so if a conventional display device 2' is installed on the instrument panel 13, etc., it will be difficult to detect an obstacle during normal driving. Since the driver is looking straight ahead, the display 2' is not within the driver's field of vision.
You must drive while checking the location of the obstacles shown in . For this reason, there is a problem in that the driver's attention is diverted from looking ahead by looking at the display 2', and the convenience of having an obstacle detector is lost.

FIG. 3 is a diagram showing the configuration of a ranging type obstacle detector l, in which an oscillation circuit 7 is intermittently oscillated at predetermined intervals determined by a transmission interval setting circuit 6, and a transmitter 4 is activated. When this ultrasonic wave is reflected by an obstacle 3 existing in the detection area 2, the reflected wave is received by the delivery device 5 and amplified by the reception circuit 8. After noise removal and detection, the detection date circuit 9 extracts only those whose time from transmitting the ultrasonic wave until the reflected wave is received is within a predetermined time range. The determination circuit 10 detects the presence of the obstacle 3 from the output of the detection date circuit 9. Here, the detection date circuit performs the following function. As shown in FIG. 4(,), the ultrasonic waves sent out from the transmitter 4 are received by the transfer device 5 at the same time as the transmitter 4 sends out the ultrasonic waves, as shown in FIG. 4(b). Therefore, as shown in FIG. 2(d), the detection date circuit 9 has a date opening time set so as not to malfunction due to the ultrasonic wave directly received by the transfer device 5 from the transmitter 4. There is. Also,
The time to close the date is determined according to the maximum detection distance. Incidentally, FIG. 4(e) shows the output of the receiving circuit 8.

Next, the display 2, which is the essence of this embodiment, will be explained. This display 2 is disposed, for example, on a dash board 12 of a vehicle A, as shown in FIG. The display device 2 of this embodiment is embedded in the dash board 12 facing the 70-inch glass 11, so that the display surface 2d is exposed from the dash board 12. As shown in FIG. 2, a graphic 2c representing a vehicle A is displayed on the display surface 2d, and a mold display portion 2a is provided around the graphic 2c representing the vehicle A. Here, for example, when the obstacle detector 1 detects an obstacle 3 existing in the left and right front and left and right rear of the vehicle A as shown in FIG. They are provided on the left and right front portions and left and right rear portions of the figure 2c representing the vehicle A to indicate the location of the obstacle 3 corresponding to the figure 2c. This display surface 2d is formed of a translucent panel, and lights are emitted from within the display device 2 using lamps or LEDs* housed within the display surface 2d, and the colors and obstacles of the portion indicating vehicle A are displayed. Display s2 that emits light when object 3 is present
The colors of the obstacles 3 and 3 are changed to make it easier for the driver to recognize the obstacles 3.

The display method of the display 2 will be explained below. Since lamps and the like are arranged in the display device 2, when the lamp corresponding to the obstacle detector 1 that detects the obstacle 3 lights up,
Light is transmitted through the panel on the display surface 2d and is emitted. The display surface 2d of the display device 2 is opposed to the windshield 11, and the light transmitted through the panel is projected onto the windshield 11. Here, in order to project onto the windshield 11, the display when looking directly at the display surface 2d of the display device 2;
The front and back of the display projected on the windshield 11 is reversed. Therefore, it is desirable that the display device 2 itself is not visible to the driver.

By displaying the presence of the obstacle 3 on the windshield 11 etc. in this way, the driver can easily see the obstacle 3 instead of directly looking at the display 2 mounted on the instrument panel 13 as in the past. The driver does not have to turn his eyes away from the front, can easily confirm the presence of an obstacle 3 even while looking ahead, and can drive safely.

[Effects of the Invention] As described above, the present invention is equipped with a display device that projects and displays a display according to the location of an obstacle on the human body such as the 70-inch glass or rear glass of a vehicle. A large display indicating the presence of an obstacle can be displayed on the glass body such as the windshield or rear glass, making it easy for the driver to see the display, instead of the conventional one-piece display mounted on the instrument panel. Because the driver has difficulty viewing the display when looking directly at the device, the driver does not have to look away from the driver during the driving time, and can easily cause damage even when looking ahead or in the rearview mirror. The presence of objects can be confirmed, driving can be done safely, and when projected onto a front screen, etc., the display appears faint and floats, giving it a good appearance.
