介在され、上記表示電極の各セグメントに対応し
て矩形基板の長手方向に沿つて配列された多数の
リード端子が表示側の矩形基板の幅方向両縁部に
接続され、上記対向電極のリード端子が表示側の
矩形基板の長手方向の両側部に接続されたエレク
トロクロミツク表示素子において、上記矩形基板
の長手方向一側部の対向極側リード端子と他側部
の対向極側リード端子との間に位置して上記表示
側矩形基板の幅方向の少なくともいずれか一方の
縁部に対向極側の別のリード端子を接続したこと
