配向膜の被着を行い、更に所定の区画で一軸配向
とＴＮ配向の配向処理を施した２枚のガラス基板
を、その周縁部及び前記区画線上にシール剤が介
在する如く重ね合わせて二つの液晶室を有するセ
ルと、一軸配向の液晶室にはＧＨ液晶及び二色性
色素を、ＴＮ配向の液晶室には時分割駆動用ＴＮ
液晶をそれぞれ注入し、セルの一面全面に偏光板
を配設し、他面の前記ＴＮ配向の液晶室に対応す
る部分にはネガ表示の場合は平行ニコル、ポジ表
示の場合は直交ニコルとなるように偏光板を配設
