Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent missed carving of a groove, by discriminating whether a disconnection exists between both ends of a line or not after patterns are arranged to enable the detection of a carved groove accurately. CONSTITUTION:A pattern 6 is arranged along both sides of a line to carve a groove 4. This pattern 6 is provided separately from a pattern 5 for an element. Then, it is discriminated whether a disconnection exists between both ends of the pattern 6. In this apparatus, contact pins 7a and 7b for detecting disconnection are connected to the pattern 6 while a contact pin 7 to the pattern 5 separately. The pin 7a is connected to a resistance R through a terminal 11 and the pin 7b the base of switching transistor Tr through a terminal 10 separately. A power source +E is further earthed through an anode and cathode of a light emitting diode 8 and the collector and emitter of a transistor Tr. On the other hand, the power source +E is connected to the resistance R. Then, when a groove 4 is carved into the pattern 6 along the line, the pins 7a and 7b suffer two turn OFF the diode 18. Thus, the carving of the groove 4 can be detected.
