Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize a high speed KANA (Japanese syllabary)/KANJI (Chinese character) conversion by installing a learner's dictionary for storing a word itself used latest together with an existing Japanese dictionary and retrieving both dictionaries. CONSTITUTION:KANA data inputted from a data input part 1 is built in a KANA character string reception and storage part 2, and handed to a KANJI pair candidate development part 3 by a control information input for starting conversion. A KANJI pair candidate is generated from the 1st line of the character string and handed to a Japanese dictionary index part 4 for retrieving the Japanese dictionary 5 and a leaner's dictionary retrieval part 6 for retrieving the learner's dictionary 7 for storing a pair of KANJIs used currently. When the candidate is obtained in the learner's dictionary 7, it is set to the 1st candidate: otherwise, the candidate is produced in the retrieval order of the Japanese dictionary 5 and displayed on a KANJI pair candidate display part 8. When an operator specifies a conversion candidate, it is transmitted to a specified KANJI pair storage part 11 from a KANJI pair candidate selecting and specifying part 9. If it has not been registered, it is registered to the learner's dictionary 7 through a learner's dictionary registration part 10.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION [Technical Field] The present invention relates to a Japanese text input device that converts a Japanese text input in kana code into a text containing kana and kanji for processing.

In conventional Japanese text creation devices, Kanaky allows
When converting the input kana character string into a kanji or idiom, in order to reduce the burden on the inputter when selecting kanji or idioms with different homophones, select the kanji or idiom used at the closest point in time. We have a usage order information table, a usage frequency information table, or search a Japanese dictionary and rearrange the used kanji or compound words to the first position among homophones and phrases so that they are displayed preferentially. Measures were taken to rememorize the information (for example, see Japanese Patent Publication No. 5B-59534).

However, in the case of these methods, a large amount of storage capacity is required to maintain usage order information tables or frequency statistical information tables for all words, and an external storage medium such as a dictionary is required to store this information. The disadvantage was that each time a kanji or compound word was used, it had to be written in, and the processing speed was not improved.

By the way, with the improvement of semiconductor technology, the degree of integration has expanded dramatically, and Japanese language dictionaries have also come to be made into mask ROMs.
This high-speed reading makes it possible to suppress the increase in processing time due to multiple searches of the Japanese dictionary when performing advanced analysis of converting kana character strings to kana-kanji character strings.

However, as mentioned above, in the past, for example,
As shown in Publication No. 9334, kanji or phrases (with homophones and different types) were rearranged and written into an external storage medium each time a search was performed. Therefore, it was not possible to use a mask ROM, and a mask ROM capable of high-speed processing could not be used.

In view of these problems, the present invention creates a learning dictionary that stores the words used most recently in a Japanese writing device, searches both existing Japanese dictionaries and learning dictionaries, and creates a learning dictionary. If the relevant kanji or compound word exists, it will be displayed preferentially as a candidate for the kanji or compound word in the Japanese dictionary, and the Japanese text will be faster and easier to convert kana character strings into kanji or compound words. The purpose is to provide human-powered equipment.

Reference numeral 1 in the figure is a digital input unit such as a keyboard. Of the data input in the data input section 1, only the kana data is stored in the kana character string reception storage section 2, and the kanji compound word candidate expansion section 3 is Starting from the first digit of the kana digit position, the learning dictionary search unit 6 searches the learning dictionary 7 using this as a base, passes the candidates to the Kanji compound word candidate expansion unit 3, and at the same time, the Japanese dictionary search unit 4 searches the Japanese dictionary 5. If there is a candidate in the learning dictionary, the indexing and kanji compound word candidate development unit 5 uses this as the first candidate and creates candidates in the search order of the Japanese dictionary; however, if there is no candidate in the learning dictionary, The contents of the Japanese dictionary are selected as candidates according to the search order, and the candidate data is transferred to the Kanji compound word candidate display section 8 in this order and displayed. The operator uses the Kanji compound word candidate selection confirmation section 9 to display candidates one after another via the Kanji compound word candidate development section 8, and decides on the desired candidate.

Once the candidates are confirmed, the confirmed candidate information is sent to the learning dictionary registration unit 10.
Here, we check whether the candidate homophone heterogeneous kanji or compound word has already been registered in the learning dictionary $7,
If it is not registered, the content is registered, but if it is already registered, the registered content is deleted and the newly determined candidate content is newly registered. As a result, data of homophones and different types are not registered in the learning dictionary, and one kanji or compound word is registered for one reading. Furthermore, the confirmed candidates are stored in the confirmed kanji/idiom candidate storage unit 11, and when a document is formed, the real IM of FIG.
The operation on the side will be explained based on the chart 70 in FIG.

If the corresponding kanji is found, then the learning dictionary search unit 6 searches for the learning dictionary @7 to find the most recently used kanji or compound word among homophones and different words (<4>). Then, the search results from the Kanji compound word candidate development section 5 and the Japanese dictionary 85 are merged with the search results from the learning dictionary 7. In other words, first check whether the corresponding kanji exists in the learning dictionary 7 (<5

1 After the processing of <61> and <62>, the kanji of homophones and different characters are arranged one after another in priority order according to the order
are displayed on the Kanji compound word candidate display section 8, and the user selects one of them using the Kanji compound word candidate selection confirmation section 9 (
<7>). After that, you can check N4 to see if there are any candidate kanji phrases in learning dictionary 7 (8〉). (In the initial state,
Nothing is stored in the learning dictionary 7. ) If not found in <8>, the confirmed kanji compound words are registered in the learning dictionary 7 ((10)). When it is determined in <8> that the candidate kanji idiom exists in the learning dictionary 7, it is next checked whether the candidate kanji idiom existing in the learning dictionary 7 has been selected as a confirmed kanji idiom (9). Here, if it is determined that it has not been used, the process of registering the confirmed kanji compound word in the next step 10> is performed in the learning dictionary 7. After step 10>, the confirmed kanji or compound words are stored in the confirmed kanji compound word storage section 11 (<11>). Also, in the process of <9>,
When it is determined that the candidate kanji compound word in the learning dictionary 117 has been used as a confirmed kanji compound word, the next step is <11>, and the candidate kanji compound word in the used learning dictionary 4t7 is processed.
The b-character compound word is stored in the confirmed kanji compound word storage unit 11 as a confirmed kanji compound word.

Further, the candidate kanji compound words registered in the learning dictionary 7 are also registered in the Japanese dictionary @5. Therefore, after first displaying the candidate kanji phrases that exist in the learning dictionary 7,
When I display the candidates in , I come across the same one. However, in this case, do not display duplicates,
Candidates that have already been shown once are skipped and displayed.

Through the above operations, the data input section 1 inputs kana, and the kanji/kana candidates confirmed by the kanji/idiom candidate selection/confirmation section 9 are sequentially registered and updated in the learning dictionary 7 to find homophone-like and different kanji or compound words. In this case, the most recently used kanji or compound word will be displayed as the first candidate.

As explained above, according to the Japanese text input device according to the present invention, even if a dictionary is registered in a storage medium that cannot be written to, such as a mask ROM, a learning dictionary can be set in the main memory, etc., so that it can be used at the nearest time. It is possible to supply the operator with a kanji or compound word as the first candidate, and since the structure is simple, the processing speed is high, and it can be applied to kana-kanji conversion that requires many dictionary searches. Even when searching, the contents can be merged and used at the same level, except for the operation that raises the candidate usage ranking compared to a normal dictionary.
