Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide the pocket heater capable of igniting without necessitating kindling fire for ignition at all by a method wherein a igniting catalyst, which generates heat by contact of vaporized methyl alcohol, is contacted with the exothermal catalyst of pocket heater fuel to ignite the pocket heater. CONSTITUTION:Petroleum benzine is impregnated into absorbent wadding 4 in an exothermal fuel tank 2 and methyl alcohol is impregnated into the absorbent wadding 5 in a igniting fuel tank 3. Upon igniting the pocket heater, the igniting catalyst 8 is contacted with the exothermal catalyst 6 and the ignition catalyst 8 is communicated with the inside of the igniting tank 3, then, the vaporized ethyl alcohol is contacted with the igniting catalyst 8 and begins oxiding reaction in a normal temperature while the igniting catalyst 8 generates heat to rise the temperature of the exothermal catalyst 6 by transferring heat from the igniting catalyst 8 and whereby the pocket heater fuel or the petroleum benzine may be ignited.

Therefore, in order to ignite a conventional hot pot, a spark for burning the hot pot fuel, such as petroleum benzene, is absolutely essential. However, in some cases, it may not be possible to prepare the spark at all, so even if you want to ignite the pot, there is a problem that if there is no spark, you will not be able to ignite it.

This invention utilizes the fact that when an organic compound with a high oxygen content such as methyl alcohol, formic acid, or acetic acid comes into contact with a low-temperature active oxidation catalyst, an oxidation reaction starts at room temperature and generates heat. That is, a low-temperature active oxidation catalyst that generates heat upon contact with vaporized methyl alcohol is used as an ignition catalyst,
This ignition catalyst is brought into contact with a heat generating catalyst for carbon fuel such as petroleum benzene.

(1) This is Kaiiro's tank body, and this tank body (
1) is divided into a large-capacity heat-generating fuel tank section (2) and a small-capacity ignition fuel tank section (3). Absorbent cotton (4) is housed, and absorbent cotton (5) for impregnating with methyl alcohol is housed in the ignition fuel tank section (3). Reference numeral (6) denotes a heat generating catalyst, which is provided above the tank bottom (7) of the heat generating fuel tank section (2) so as to constantly communicate with the inside of the heat generating fuel tank section (2). (8) is an ignition catalyst, which communicates with the ignition fuel tank section (3) when it contacts the heat generation catalyst (6), and communicates with the ignition fuel tank section (3) when it does not contact the heat generation catalyst (6). (3) It is provided in the upper part of the ignition fuel tank part (3) so that it does not communicate with the inside. For example, as shown in the figure, a spring (9) is attached to the rear end of the ignition catalyst (8).
) are connected and stored in the catalyst case (10), and the other end of the spring (9) is connected to the rear wall (11) of the catalyst case (10).
) and further presses the rear end of the ignition catalyst (8) so that the ignition catalyst (8) slides inside the catalyst case (10). 10

When contacting the pressing body (12), the exothermic catalyst (
6), the communication port (13) provided at the bottom of the ignition catalyst (8) communicates with the tank tank (14) of the ignition fuel tank section (3), and the ignition catalyst (8) When not in contact with the exothermic catalyst (6), the pressing body (12)
is pulled toward the catalyst case (10) by the spring (9), and the communication port (13) provided at the bottom of the ignition catalyst (8) is displaced from the tank holder (14) of the ignition fuel tank portion (3). The two are configured so that they no longer communicate with each other.

Therefore, first, petroleum benzene is put into the heat generating fuel tank part (2) to impregnate the absorbent cotton (4), and methyl alcohol is put into the ignition fuel tank part (3) to impregnate the absorbent cotton (5). When igniting the pot, the ignition catalyst (8) is brought into contact with the heat-generating catalyst (6), and this ignition catalyst (8) is communicated with the inside of the ignition tank (3). The oxidized methyl alcohol contacts the ignition catalyst (8) and starts an oxidation reaction at the product temperature, the ignition catalyst (8) generates heat, and the exothermic catalyst (6) absorbs the oxidation reaction from the ignition catalyst (8). The temperature rises due to heat conduction, and petroleum benzine, the fuel used for porcelain, is ignited.

Next, when the ignition is not lit or after ignition, the ignition catalyst (8) should not come into contact with the heat-generating catalyst (6), and the ignition catalyst (8) should not be in contact with the ignition tank (3). Just make sure they don't communicate. In this case, methyl alcohol does not vaporize from the ignition fuel tank (3) and the ignition catalyst (
8), the ignition catalyst (8) no longer generates heat.
