パーキングブレーキペダルにその回動中心線を中
心とする円弧に沿つた係合歯が設けられ、その係
合歯にペダルの回動中心線に平行な回動中心線ま
わりに回動可能に設けられたポールが係合させら
れることによつてペダルが踏込位置から原位置へ
復帰することが阻止され、そのペダヲに連結され
ているパーキングブレーキが作用状態に維持され
る一方、前記ペダルの回動中心線に平行な回動中
心線のまわりに回動可能に設けられたレリーズレ
バーの手動操作によつて前記ポールの前記係合歯
に対する係合が解除され、前記ペダルの踏込位置
から原位置への復帰が許容される足踏み式のパー
キングブレーキ操作装置において、 前記レリーズレバーの回動中心線と平行な回動
中心線のまわりに回動可能にピニオン保持レバー
を設け、そのレバーの回動中心線から隔つた部位
にピニオンをその回動中心線に平行な中心線のま
わりに回転可能に取り付けるとともに、そのピニ
オンに連結されてピニオンの回転に伴つて回転す
るフライホイールを設ける一方、前記ペダルに前
記ピニオンと噛合い可能な噛合歯を前記回動中心
線を中心とする円弧に沿つて設け、かつ、前記ピ
ニオン保持レバーを付勢手段によつて前記ピニオ
ンが前記噛合歯と噛み合う向きに付勢するととも
に、前記レリーズレバーに、そのレリーズレバー
が前記ポールの前記係合歯に対する係合を許容す
る位置にある状態では前記付勢手段の付勢力に抗
して前記ピニオン保持レバーを前記ピニオンが前
記噛合歯と噛み合わない位置に保持し、前記レリ
ーズレバーが前記ポールの前記係合歯との係合を
解除すべく回動させられる際、そのポールの係合
解除に先立つて前記ピニオンが前記噛合歯と噛み
合う位置へ前記ピニオン保持レバーが回動するこ
とを許容するストツパを設けたことを特徴とする
