Since the lid of such a pressure cooker does not allow you to see the inside, it is not possible to visually check the degree of simmering and cooking of the ingredients during cooking, so it is common to use a timer to check the cooking time while cooking. It was hot.

However, whenever you check the cooking time, you will find that the cooking time varies depending on the type of ingredients being cooked, and even for the same type of cooking ingredients, for example, the cooking time for new rice and old rice may differ. They differ greatly depending on the differences in their properties.

In addition, since pressure cookers generate high pressure and heat, it is dangerous to open the pot while cooking, and the pressure will be lost and the pressure cooker will no longer function as a pressure cooker, so opening the pot during cooking will cause the ingredients to simmer. I couldn't even check the condition or doneness of the food.

By the way, the pot lid that allows the inside of the pot to be viewed without opening the pot has a structure shown in Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 50-31256, in which a transparent glass plate is fitted into a window hole formed in the metal lid leaving a peripheral edge. However, since pressure cookers produce high pressure and high heat, simply reusing such items could cause the transparent glass plate to break and become dangerous, making it impossible to ensure safety. .

In addition, a pot simply fitted with a flat transparent glass plate had the disadvantage that steam droplets adhering to the transparent glass plate made it difficult to see inside the pot.

Further, the double tempered glass plates 7, 7 have a diameter slightly larger than the diameter of the window hole 4, and one end is bent toward the outer peripheral edge of the lid body 2 to grip the edge portion of the peripheral edge 3 on the side of the window hole 4. At the same time, the lid body 2 is held by an annular engaging member 12 whose other end is bent toward the center of the window hole 4 and has a substantially S-shaped cross section and grips the outer periphery of the double tempered glass plates 7, 7. is engaged with the window hole 4 at the lower surface. Here, a double tempered glass plate 7 having a spherical shape,
7 is engaged with the window hole 4 so that the curvature direction of the spherical surface is directed toward the inside of the lid body 2 in a concave arc shape;
The end of the peripheral edge 3 on the side of the window hole 4 is bent toward the bottom of the lid 2 so as to follow the spherical shape of the double tempered glass plates 7, 7.

When a pressure cooker is heated, the ingredients begin to boil due to the heat, and the internal pressure of the cooker increases.
At this time, the double tempered glass plates 7, 7 have a diameter larger than the window hole 4, and are engaged with the window hole 4 on the lower surface of the lid body 2, and a packing material such as silicone rubber is placed in the gap between the engagement parts. Since material 8 is fitted,
As the internal pressure of the pressure cooker increases and pressure is applied to the double tempered glass plates 7, 7, the packing material 8 is compressed and the airtightness of the pressure cooker is increased.

In addition, the double tempered glasses 7, 7 have a spherical shape and are engaged with the window hole 4 with the curvature direction of the spherical surface facing the inside of the lid body 2, so the spherical shape contributes to improving pressure resistance. The pressure resistance of the double tempered glass plates 7, 7 is further improved. If you keep the surface of the glass clean with detergent and a sponge, there will be no clouding due to evaporated water, and the water droplets will flow well and collect at the lowest point in the center of the tempered glass plates 7, 7, forming large water droplets. and fall.

Furthermore, even if a shock is applied to the tempered glass plates 7, 7 due to an unexpected accident, the double tempered glass plates 7, 7 will not be easily damaged. Furthermore, tempered glass plates 7, 7
If the surface of the tempered glass plate 7 is scratched, cracks may occur at that location, but it is highly unlikely that the two tempered glass plates 7, 7 would be scratched at the same time. Therefore, even if one tempered glass plate 7 is scratched and broken, the other tempered glass plate 7 can maintain the internal pressure of the pot. Furthermore, since a transparent film 11 made of polyvinyl resin or the like is interposed between the double tempered glass plates 7, 7, broken pieces of glass will not scatter.

As described above, various forms of means for firmly engaging the double spherical tempered glass plates 7, 7 in the window hole 4 are conceivable, but in particular, the embodiments shown in FIGS. 3 and 5 are conceivable. The two metal plates 13 and 14 are superimposed to form the peripheral edge 3 of the lid 2, and the outer peripheral edge of the double tempered glass plates 7 and 7 is formed at the edge of the lower metal plate 13 on the window hole 4 side. When holding the pressure cooker, the place where the internal pressure of the pressure cooker may leak is the bottom metal plate 1.
The window hole 4 of the peripheral edge part 3 is limited to one location between the side edge of the window hole 4 of the window hole 3 and the outer periphery of the double tempered glass plates 7, 7, and the embodiment shown in FIGS. The airtightness can be made higher than in the case where there is a risk of pressure leaking between the side ends and the engaging members 12, 17 as well.

In addition, in the above, it is not necessarily necessary to interpose the transparent film 11 between the double tempered glass plates 7, 7 having a spherical shape, but simply overlap the two sheets,
The peripheries of the tempered glass plates 7, 7 may be joined with adhesive. In this case, by joining the peripheral edges with adhesive, it is possible to prevent moisture and dirt from entering between the two tempered glass plates 7, 7.

Furthermore, since the tempered glass plates are double-layered, they can sufficiently withstand the high pressure inside the pressure cooker, and the two plates will not break at the same time, ensuring sufficient safety.
Even if one of the two tempered glass plates breaks, the other one can withstand the internal pressure of the pot, so there is no chance of a serious accident. Furthermore, in the case where a transparent film is interposed between two tempered glass plates, broken pieces of glass are prevented from scattering, and there is no increase in the risk of breakage. In addition, the tempered glass plate is firmly engaged with the window hole through the packing material, so that the peripheral edge of the tempered glass plate does not come into contact with the engaging member or the edge of the peripheral edge of the lid on the window hole side. No damage caused by. Moreover, the double tempered glass plate has a spherical shape, and the curved direction of the spherical surface is directed towards the inside of the lid, which further improves the pressure resistance against the internal pressure of the pot and further increases safety. At the same time, the water droplets adhering to the spherical surface gather at the center of the lower part of the tempered glass plate and form large water droplets that fall into the pot, so the tempered glass plate does not become cloudy and the inside of the pot can always be clearly seen.
