Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it unnecessary for a guardman to patrol and to make it possible to realize a usual monitor situation by informing of unusual occurrence comparing a monitor image by infrared rays in normal condition in a monitor area with the monitor thereafter. CONSTITUTION:A infrared camera 1 is installed in a proper place in a room 2 as a monitor area, photographing inside of the room in all directions, and the output thereof is supplied selectively to amemory unit 4 or 5 through a switch 3. In this cse, a monitor area image in normal condition in the room 2 is taken in the memory unit 4 as one screen portion, and then, the switch 3 is changed over to take one screen portioi of image in the memory unit 5. Thus, each image within the units 4 and 5 is compared at a comparison circuit 6 to break out alarm from an alarm section 7 when both images are dissident to each other.

If a security guard patrols buildings regularly for crime prevention and disaster prevention, there is virtually no security between one patrol and the next. If the cause of a crime or fire is lurking in an area that cannot be reached, there is a high risk that it will be overlooked, especially at night.

A monitoring area image of the monitoring area is captured into the second storage device, and the captured monitoring area image and the monitoring area image stored in the first storage device are compared by a comparing means to notify whether or not an abnormality has occurred. It is configured to do so.

According to the method of the present invention, an infrared monitoring area image when there is no abnormality in the monitoring area is compared with a subsequent infrared monitoring area image to notify whether or not an abnormality has occurred in the monitoring area. This makes it possible to maintain constant surveillance while eliminating the need for security guards to patrol the area. Furthermore, since it is possible to sense temperature changes, it is also possible to notify the initial stage of a fire.

FIG. 1 shows an embodiment of the invention. In this figure, 1
is an infrared camera, and this camera is installed at a suitable location (-corner) in a monitoring area, for example, a room 2 in a building as shown in FIG. 2, and radially images the interior of the room as widely as possible. Reference numeral 3 denotes a switching means, for example a changeover switch, which is used to selectively connect the output of the camera 2 to the first storage device 4 or the second storage device 5. These first and second storage devices 4 and 5 are connected to a comparison section 6. The output of the comparison section 6 is connected to the alarm section 7.

The comparison unit 6 compares the monitoring area image of the second storage device 5 and the uniformity of the monitoring area of the first storage device 4, and if a match is not obtained between the two, an alarm is generated from the alarm unit 7. do. In this case, due to the difference between the time taken to capture the image in the first storage device 4 and the time taken to take the image in the second storage device, even if there is no change in state (even though there is a difference in level), the image pattern A comparison is made. According to this method, for example, if a person intrudes, the image patterns change due to the heat generated by the person's body, so they no longer match, and an alarm is generated. The same applies to fires.

With this alarm, it is possible to recognize that a person is intruding into the monitored area or that a fire has occurred. Such recognition does not require patrolling the monitoring area or constantly monitoring the monitor. Furthermore, since the occurrence of a fire is detected by detecting temperature changes using infrared rays, even the occurrence of a small flame can be notified, which is effective in detecting an initial fire.
