Abstract

PURPOSE:To suppress the vibratory play of pipes fitted with each other at their joint, by interposing a buffer material between the outside circumferential surface of one of the pipes and the inside circumferential surface of the other at the joint. CONSTITUTION:The end 1a of a pipe 1 is inserted into that 2a of another pipe 2. A buffer material 4 is provided between the outside circumferential surface of the end 1a and the inside circumferential surface of the end 2a. An elastic ring 5 is provided between the buffer material 4 and a stopper ring 3 for the pipe 1. The vibration of the pipes 1, 2 is thus absorbed so that they are prevented from playing or coming off due to the vibration.

First, inorganic or organic fibers such as long glass fibers or ceramic fibers are cut into appropriate lengths and mixed, and then subjected to roller pressure and needling to obtain mat-like fibers. Then, as shown in Figure 2, a heat-resistant inorganic molding agent (7) is applied to a part of the mat fiber (8), that is, the part that will become the inner peripheral surface of the pipe when it is molded, and then the outer peripheral surface An elastic molding agent (8) such as rubber is applied to the portion where the shape is to be formed. Then, the mat fiber (8) is wound around the core wire (9) to form the state shown in FIG. Fired while holding, then press molds (10), (11)
Take out the fired product from the core wire (9) as shown in Figure 5.
By pulling out the pipes (1) and (2), the middle part is made of molded sound absorbing material with excellent heat insulation, vibration absorption, and rigidity, the inner part has excellent heat resistance, and the outer part has flexibility.
is obtained. In this embodiment, mat-like fibers are formed by chopping fibers, but woven fabric may also be used.

FIG. 6 is a sectional view showing another embodiment. In this embodiment, an elastic ring (15) whose negative surface is a spherical surface (5a)
The tip of another pipe (2) is made to abut against the spherical surface (5a). With this configuration, the vibration absorbing properties of the pipes (1) and (2) against vibrations in the radial direction are improved.

(Effects of the Invention) As is clear from the above description, according to the present invention, in a joint formed by inserting and fitting the ends of two pipes, there is a gap between the outer periphery of one pipe and the inner periphery of the other pipe. Since the cushioning material is interposed in the pipe, it is possible to absorb the vibration of the pipe, suppress rattling caused by vibration, and prevent the pipe from coming off due to vibration.

Furthermore, if the pipe is made of a molded sound-absorbing material, it can be made into a pipe with excellent vibration-absorbing and heat-insulating properties. Moreover, the inner surface of the pipe is coated with a heat-resistant inorganic molding agent, and the outer surface is made of elastic molding such as rubber. If the agent is applied, it will have many effects such as having excellent characteristics as an exhaust pipe.
