Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the damage in coil material and to stabilize the quality by providing the means to hold the coil material with keeping the uniform contact face of a segment drum and coil material in the coiling and recoiling of the coil material. CONSTITUTION:The plural segment drums 2a, 2b, 2c, 2d arranged around a core shaft 4 are expanded in the radial direction via telescopic arm 3 by adequate driving source. A coil material 1 is held by touching them with strong pressure to the inner coiling side 1a of the coil material 1. The out-of-roundness of the coil material is kept by employing an alligator method on the both sides of the segment drums 2a-2d. The deformation and bent flaw of the coil material 1 are eliminated in to coiler and uncoiler device with this mechanism and the maintenance of the coil material 1 of good roundness can be performed.
