はこれを伸ばした状態、ｃは通常状態をそれぞれ

３……下半部、４……スポーク、５……ステアリ
ングポスト、６……ヒンジ、７……スライダ、１
４……連接杆、１５，１６……関節、２１……ば

Claims (1)
- ステアリングホイールのリングが、分割された
上下２つの部分より成り、その上半分はスポーク
を介してステアリングポストに固定され、上下両
半部の両端部どうしは、連接杆の両端に関節を有
する屈曲可能なヒンジを介して、上半部の運転者
に面した側の上に下半部が重なる如く折り畳んだ
状態と、上下両半部が一平面をなす通常状態との
間に変位可能に接続され、上記折り畳み状態では
ヒンジはホイールリング上下部両端間に露出し、
上記通常状態では上下部両端面どうしが密接する
如くヒンジをホイールリングのいずれかの端部に
引込むばねを有し、折り畳み状態ではいずれか一
方の半部の両端部を包囲し、通常状態では上下両
半部の端面の接合部の上下にわたつてホイールリ
ングを包囲して補強するとともにグリツプの役目
をなすスライダをホイールリング外面に沿つて摺
動自在にかつ通常状態での位置決め可能に設けた
ことを特徴とするステアリングホイール。
