接近させて、ワークが前記１対の検出手段の間に
介入した所定検出位置でワークの厚さを検出する
装置において、前記所定検出位置近傍からワーク
搬送方向前方へ行くにしたがつてワーク搬送経路
から次第に離隔する方向へ延在する案内手段をワ
ーク搬送経路に沿つて設け、前記１対の検出手段
を案内手段に案内されつつ移動可能に設けるとと
もに、この１対の検出手段を案内手段に沿つて前
記所定検出位置とワーク搬送経路から離隔した位
置との間で移動させる駆動手段を設けたことを特
