Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an oxygen-generating material suitable for aquarium, at a low cost, by packaging an oxygen-generating material composed mainly of a peroxide and an organic acid with a packaging material composed of a water- permeable sheet containing an anion exchange resin as a part thereof and a water-impermeable material as the rest part thereof. CONSTITUTION:A material composed mainly of a peroxide and an organic acid and generating oxygen by the reaction with water, is packaged with a packaging material composed partly of a water-permeable sheet material containing an anion exchange resin, and partly of a water-impermeable material as the rest part thereof. The peroxide reacting with water to generate oxygen is magnesium peroxide, etc., and the organic acid is e.g. citric acid. The anion exchange resin is preferably a weakly basic styrene-based resin. The peroxide reacts with water to generate oxygen, while the dissolution of the organic acid in water is inhibited by the anion exchange resin. Accordingly, the material is harmless to fish.

(Means to Solve the Problem) In order to solve the above problem, a water-permeable sheet containing an anion exchange resin is a material whose main ingredients are peroxide and organic acid, and which reacts with water to generate oxygen. The main point is that the sheet material is packaged with a packaging material in which at least a portion of the packaging material is made of the same material, and that the only part of the packaging material that has water permeability is the sheet material.

(Function) The main oxygen generating agent is packaged with a nonwoven fabric containing the above-mentioned anion exchange resin, or placed in a water-impermeable rigid container (for example, a plastic container), and the lid is covered with an anion exchange resin layer. It is a water-permeable non-woven fabric with a water-permeable non-woven fabric, and the oxygen-generating main ingredient is simply a non-woven fabric that is wrapped under pressure. The oxygen-generating main ingredient reacts with the water that permeates through the non-woven fabric by putting it in water, but the oxygen generating agent generates oxygen. The organic acid is not released (eluted) into water due to the anion exchange resin layer, and is harmless to fish.

Regarding the pH condition, when the nonwoven fabric is packaged without containing an ion exchange resin, the pH of water drops to about 5, but in the above-mentioned product of the present invention, the pH of the water was maintained at 7. This is because the organic acid exposed to water in the package was adsorbed by the anion exchange resin in the nonwoven fabric.

(Effects) As mentioned above, even if the oxygen generator of the present invention is placed in water, there is no effect on the pH of the water outside, and there is no extra space in the package, so even if it is placed in water, oxygen generation causes the package to be damaged. does not float to the surface, extremely fine oxygen bubbles are continuously generated, and oxygen is easily generated just by placing it in water, so it has the advantages of being extremely easy to handle, requiring few work steps, and being inexpensive.
