Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide an oxygen generator which generates oxygen smoothly without need of pressing a container bag from outside by hand, etc. in water or of raising the temperature of water, prepared by sealing a substance which reacts with water to generate oxygen and a water-absorbing resin in a water- and oxygen-permeable bag. CONSTITUTION:A substance which reacts with water to generate oxygen and a water-absorbing resin are sealed in a water-and oxygen-permeable small bags containing the water-absorbing resin and the oxygen generating substance are sealed in a water-and oxygen-permeable but non-water-absorbing bag. The susbstance which reacts with water to generate oxygen includes manganese peroxide, calcium peroxide, etc. The water-absorbing resins are, e.g., hydrolyzed starch/acrylic acid graft copolymer and polysodium acrylate. The bag is made of water-resistant mixed pulp paper or laminate thereof.

(Prior art) There is an oxygen generator based on manganese peroxide and acid, which is used for emergency purposes in coal mines and the military. In addition, an oxygen generator based on calcium peroxide and citric acid has been developed, but simply placing the drug in a breathable, water-permeable package and placing it in water does not produce good oxygen and raises the water temperature. And,
It has also been found that oxygen generation can only be improved by pressurizing the drug-containing package underwater by squeezing it with your hands.

(Purpose of the Invention) The present invention provides an oxygen system that can react with water to generate oxygen without pressurizing the drug from outside the bag or raising the water temperature by hand or the like. The purpose is to provide a generator.

(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) As mentioned above, it has been found that oxygen generation can be improved by bringing a system that reacts with water in water to generate oxygen into contact with water under pressure. By sealing a substance that reacts with water to generate oxygen in a water- and oxygen-permeable material that does not swell or stretch with water, it can be thrown into water and squeezed with your hand to pressurize it. Oxygen can be easily generated in water without raising the water temperature.

(Means for solving the problem) In order to solve the problem mentioned above, a material that reacts with water to generate oxygen and a water-absorbing resin are placed in a water- and oxygen-permeable bag and sealed. Alternatively, the material that reacts with water to generate oxygen and the above-mentioned water-absorbing resin can be filled in a layered manner. The main point is to seal the generated waste 14 in a water- and oxygen-permeable, non-water-absorbing bag.

(Function) Since the oxygen generator of the present invention has the above-mentioned structure, the material that reacts with water to generate oxygen in the outer bag will not expand or contract due to water absorption of the water-absorbing resin on the outer periphery. The substance that swells in the outer bag and reacts with water to generate oxygen is subjected to strong external pressure inside the bag, so it reacts with the water that permeates and leads to a favorable state of oxygen generation.

(1) Relatively stable peroxides such as manganese peroxide and calcium peroxide should be used as substances that generate oxygen by reacting with water, and ascorbic acid, citric acid, malic acid, and tartaric acid should be used as additives. Oxygen can be generated by reacting with powdered or granular organic acids such as in the presence of water, or activated carbon, M'gO or Mg (SiO3) can be used as a catalyst.

(3) Packaging materials such as bags are laminates of water-resistant mixed paper, including cloth, non-woven fabric, perforated plastic, and synthetic fibers.
When using polyethylene as the mixed paper, it is preferable that it has water repellency and heat sealability so that it does not come out of the packaging, and automatic filling is possible. As for strength, it is necessary to withstand sufficient internal pressure against the water-absorbed and swollen resin.

(4) The packaging condition is as shown in the explanatory diagrams of FIGS. 1 and 2, with 1 being an outer bag and 2 being an inner bag, both of which must satisfy the above-mentioned packaging conditions. A is an oxygen-generating material, and B is a resin powder that swells upon water absorption.

(Effects) Since the oxygen generating body of the present invention has the above-mentioned structure, when it is placed in water, oxygen bubbles are continuously generated, and the water absorbent resin swells just by being placed in water, causing the bag to swell. It is easy to uniformly increase the pressure on the medicine inside the container, and since it is compact during transportation, transportation costs are low, and manufacturing is easy and production costs are low. Since oxygen can be generated in low-temperature water, it is useful as an oxygen generator for transporting fresh fish, or as an oxygen supply for fish bowls and fish tanks, and is extremely useful as an oxygen generator in coal mines or when emergencies occur. It is.
