The present invention relates to a deodorizing tool suitable for removing odors inside a refrigerator. A conventional deodorizing device that removes odors from inside a refrigerator is one that houses activated carbon in a frame with ventilation holes. There was a problem that the effect was not always sufficient and that the deodorizing effect deteriorated over a relatively short period of time. The present invention aims to solve the above-mentioned conventional problems. The deodorizing tool of the present invention has a frame 2 having ventilation holes 1, a multilayer structure 5 whose interior is made of a porous material 3 impregnated with an extract or distillate of a plant of the Camellia family, and whose outer skin is made of a breathable packaging material 4. It has a configuration that houses the
To effectively remove the odor that emanates from food regardless of the type of food and the odor that occurs when the food begins to rot, and its deodorizing function continues for a long period of time, which is a remarkable effect. In the present invention, the frame 2 used has a ventilation hole 1 such as a round hole, a square hole, a slot, a window, etc. for ventilation in at least one of its top surface, bottom surface, and side surface. The frame 2 may have any shape such as a box shape, a cylindrical shape, or a triangular tube shape. A multi-layered structure 5 impregnated with an extract or distillate of a plant belonging to the Camellia family is housed within this frame 2. Extracts or distillates from plants of the Camellia family include tea, sasanqua,
It refers to the extract or distillate mainly from the leaves of camellia, sakaki, hisakaki, etc., and contains flavanols, flavonols, and various other organic compounds. In particular, the distillate has a great deodorizing effect. The multilayered structure 5 has a porous material 3 inside and a breathable packaging material 4 as the outer skin, and the porous material 3 includes tissue paper, nonwoven fabric, cotton made of natural or synthetic fibers,
Examples include pulp, granulated unglazed ceramics, perlite, rice husks, buckwheat husks or their burned products, sawdust or their burned products, polyurethane foam, and those in various shapes such as sheets, fibers, and granules. These are often used in combination of two or more types. As the breathable packaging material 4, nonwoven fabric, paper,
Examples include woven fabrics, knitted fabrics, polyurethane foams, etc., and nonwoven fabrics are particularly important for practical purposes. The multi-layered structure 5 is manufactured by wrapping the porous material 3 with the air permeable packaging material 4 or filling the bag of the air permeable packaging material 4 with the porous material 3, and then wrapping the air permeable material 3 as an outer skin as necessary. By sealing the periphery of the packaging material 4 by heat sealing or other means, the porous material 3 is placed in the middle layer and the air-permeable packaging material 2 is sealed.
After laminating the inner and outer layers, the edges of the laminate may be sealed if necessary, and the porous material 3 may be made of the same material as the breathable packaging material 4. If so, the desired multilayer structure 5 can be obtained by simply folding it and sealing the ends as necessary. For impregnation with extracts or distillates from plants of the Camellia family, use the undiluted solution or dilute it with an appropriate solvent to form a porous material.
This is carried out by dipping, spraying, coating, etc. on the air-permeable packaging material 4. Impregnation may be carried out on either the porous substance 3 or the breathable packaging material 4, or if the porous substance 3 itself or the breathable packaging material 4 itself has a plurality of structures, impregnation may be carried out on one of them. However, it is preferable to perform this on both the porous material 3 and the breathable packaging material 4 to obtain better results. Typically, after producing a multi-layered structure 5 whose interior is made of a porous material 3 and whose outer skin is made of a breathable packaging material 4, this multi-layered structure 5 is
immersed in a diluted solution of extract or distillate of a plant of the Camellia family,
Then take it out and dry it. The impregnated multiple structure obtained as above is
Although the purpose can be achieved by simply housing one of these in the frame 2, it is preferable to stack a plurality of them and store them in the frame 2. This is because storing multiple items, even if they are thin, has a greater deodorizing effect than storing one thick item. The deodorizing device of the present invention is suitable as a deodorizing device to be placed in a closed narrow space, especially inside a refrigerator, and is also suitable for use in passenger cars, inside refrigerators for transporting fish and meat, and in cases of food products. Inside, inside the specimen case, inside the storage case for fishing bait and fish, inside the feed container, inside the storage area for fertilizers such as oil cake, fish meal, and chicken manure, inside the toilet, closet, drawer, storage area, shoe cabinet, etc.
It is also useful as a stationary deodorizer for inside lockers, shoes, waste bins, used laundry storage containers, etc. Next, the deodorizing tool of the present invention will be further explained with reference to Examples. Example 1 A layered porous material 3 having a layer structure in which 12 sheets of 25 g/m 2 tissue paper, a layer of 82 g/m 2 polyester cotton, and 1 sheet of 25 g/m 2 tissue paper were laminated in this order was prepared.
It was wrapped in a nonwoven fabric 4 made of polypropylene fibers weighing 120 g/m 2 , and both short sides of the nonwoven fabric 4 were heat-sealed to obtain a multilayer structure 5 as shown in a partially cutaway perspective view in FIG. The size is 67mm on the short side and 127mm on the long side.
The thickness was approximately 7 mm. Next, this multilayered structure 5 was briefly dipped in a 10% solution of the fraction from tea leaf powder diluted with ethanol, and then pulled out and dried with hot air. A plastic frame 2 (the perspective view of which is shown in FIG. 2) having a box-like shape and groove-like ventilation holes 1 on six sides is prepared, and the impregnation obtained above is poured into this frame. Three multilayered structures 5 were stacked and stored. Third
The figure is a cross-sectional view of the deodorizing tool obtained in this way. A deodorizing test as described later was conducted using this deodorizing tool, and the deodorizing performance was extremely excellent. Control Example 1 In the frame 2 used in Example 1, 55 g of activated carbon was wrapped in a paper bag and stored. Comparative Example 2 Three multi-layered structures in Example 1 which were not impregnated with the fraction from the tea leaf powder were housed in the frame 2. Deodorization test Food waste (vegetables,
Kitchen garbage such as fish and meat, some of which had deteriorated, was placed there, as well as deodorizing equipment. 4
After a period of time had elapsed, the refrigerator door was opened and the degree of odor was checked. Then, only the food waste container was taken out and the door was closed. After another hour had elapsed, the door was opened again and the presence or absence of any residual odor was examined. Odor detection was carried out by six trained panelists and judged on the following six levels. Odor intensity 0...Odorless 1...Odor that can be easily detected 2...Weak odor that tells you what it is 3...Odor that can be easily detected 4...Strong odor 5...Intense odor The results of Example 1 and Control Examples 1 and 2 are summarized above. Shown in Table 1.
