Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance reliability by certainly injecting ink, by sealing compressed air for injecting ink in a pressure container and controlling the injection of the ink by an opening and closing valve. CONSTITUTION:Ink 21 and compressed air are sealed in a pressure container 20. The ink 21 is received to a lower part while compressed air fills an upper part by the difference of specific gravity. When an opening and closing valve 23 is opened and closed on the basis of a signal pulse by an actuator such as an electromagnet, the ink 21 is injected from a nozzle 24 as ink particles. Injection energy is given by compressed air 22. Because an ink injecting energy source and the opening and closing valve are made independent as mentioned above, ink can be certainly injected and high reliability is obtained.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION FIG. 2 shows an example of a conventional inkjet head. A pulsed signal voltage is applied to a piezo element 11 installed around the outer periphery of the ink chamber 10 to generate a pressure wave for reducing the volume of the ink chamber 10 . Ink droplets 13 are ejected from the ejection port 12 by this pressure wave. Ink liquid 13 is accommodated in ink liquid chamber 10 .

Problems to be Solved by the Invention However, there is a problem in that when air bubbles enter the ink chamber 10, pressure waves are absorbed and the jetting force is reduced. Furthermore, if the degree of adhesion between the 1EZ element Xt and the outer periphery of the liquid chamber is poor, pressure waves will not be generated, which requires extremely high-precision component manufacturing technology.

Means for Solving the Problems The present invention aims to solve the above-mentioned drawbacks, and is characterized in that it includes a pressure vessel for reliably jetting ink. Compressed gas for injecting the gas is sealed in the pressure vessel. Ink jetting control is performed by an on-off valve.

Since the energy for ejecting the working ink is provided by the compressed gas sealed together with the ink in the container, the on-off valve does not require energy for ejecting the ink.

Embodiment FIG. 1 shows an embodiment of the present invention. Ink 21 and compressed gas 22 are sealed in pressure vessel 20 . Utilizing the difference in specific gravity, the ink 21 is formed at the bottom and the compressed gas 22 is formed at the top. By operating the on-off valve 23, the ink 21 is ejected from the nozzle 24 in the form of ink droplets 25 q1. This injection energy is provided by compressed gas 22. Open/close valve 23
For example, an actuator such as an electromagnet is used to open and close in response to a signal pulse.

Effects of the Invention According to the present invention, since the energy source for ink ejection and the on-off valve are made independent, ink can be ejected reliably, and an inkjet printer with very high reliability can be provided. The on-off valve only needs to open and close the injection port, has a very simple structure, and can be manufactured at low cost.
