Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide the titled composite composed of a compression-molded polysaccharide containing an intimate mixture of enzyme powder and polysaccharide powder, immobilized by polysaccharide powder, having high stability and applicable to various enzymatic reactions. CONSTITUTION:A mixture of the powder of an enzyme and the powder of a polysaccharide (e.g. cellulose, acetyl cellulose, chitin, etc.) is if necessary adjusted to a proper water-content, and compression-molded (preferably under 100-300kg/cm<2> pressure for 30sec-10min) to obtain the objective composite having a density of preferably 1.1-1.5g/cc. The content of the enzyme in the composite is preferably 4-40wt%.
