In order to solve this problem, improvements were made to the cultivation method, and a cultivation method was developed that improved the productivity of cracked daikon radish, increased the product value, and made a group of young plants into one unit that was easy for consumers to use. has been done. As an example,
There is a plant cultivation method and apparatus described in Japanese Patent No. 15086. In cultivating daikon radish using this method, the seeds are soaked in water for about a day to absorb water, sown at the cultivation base of a seedling nursery box, and then grown in a dark room. Water and liquid fertilizer are added to the base of the plant to the extent that the sown seeds are lightly submerged, so the seeds will germinate the next day. When grown in a light-shielded room while supplementing the base with liquid fertilizer as the radish germinates, the daikon radish will be ready to be shipped in about 5 to 6 days. If the young plants in the seedling box are left in sunlight for just one day before shipping, the leaves at the tips will turn a fresh green color. This method is
Since it can be grown without using soil and bundles can be stored and shipped in containers, it is possible to increase the productivity and commercial value of daikon radish.

However, in the above-mentioned cultivation method, the daikon radish delivered to the market has the disadvantage that it has a relatively short shelf life because it is exposed to sunlight for only one day before shipping without exposing it to light until the day before shipping. In other words, after being shipped, daikon radish continues to grow to some extent when it is exposed to sunlight or lighting inside a retail store or store, but its shelf life is poor throughout the seasons, and it wilts and rots quickly, especially in the summer, and sellers We hear dissatisfaction from customers and consumers, and the amount of waste increases.

Subsequently, the seeds taken out from the bag are put into the hopper of the seeding machine 7 shown in FIG. 1, and the empty seedling growing boxes 5 are sequentially placed on the conveyor 6. The seedling raising box 5 is conveyed under the seeding machine 7 by a belt, and approximately the same amount of seeds are sown in each section while passing under the seeding drum. Next, the seedling raising box 5 is conveyed under the watering machine 8, and the liquid fertilizer is evenly sprayed by the watering nozzle of the watering machine 8. The seedlings are stored in a light-shielded nursery room 2A at a room temperature of 25° C. in a stacked state of about 10 to 15 layers for 20 to 24 hours, and germinated. Before the next day's sowing and watering according to the schedule, the seedling boxes 5 of the two seedling rooms are placed on the conveyor 6.
The seedlings are placed on the seedlings, and are again sprinkled with water using the water sprinkler 8, and kept in the seedling growing room 2B at a room temperature of 25° C. for 5 to 6 hours. As described above, the seeds taken out from the germination chamber 4 are grown into seedlings of about 2 cg+ in light-shielded conditions over a period of about two days.

In order to grow the seedlings into young vegetables with a height of approximately 12 cm that can be shipped as split radish, the seedling raising box 5 is transported by a conveyor IIB to a well-lighted shelf room 9. At that time, the seedling raising box 5 is transferred from the conveyor IIB to IIA by being pushed by hand, and from there, the seedling raising rack 5 is placed on an appropriately selected seedling raising shelf 10.
It is placed on an empty shelf. The seedlings that have grown to about 2 cm are placed in a state where they are not shaded from light from the time they are placed on the seedling raising shelf 10, but since they require direct sunlight for about a day from the day before shipping, they are divided into four stages. The seedlings are placed on the first to third shelves from the bottom, which are partially shaded by the seedling boxes placed on the upper shelf, avoiding the topmost shelf that receives the most sunlight. Thereafter, the seedlings are kept in the same position until the day before shipping, and the seedlings are placed in sunlight for a while and are watered with liquid fertilizer a total of 9 to 10 times to carry out photosynthesis and grow into the above-mentioned young vegetables. In addition, watering is performed in a mist state when the seedlings are young, and in a shower state as the seedlings grow, depending on the degree of growth of the seedlings.

The young vegetables are exposed to direct sunlight one day before being shipped, and the leaves turn a bright green color. Therefore, by the afternoon of the day before shipping, that is, on the fifth day after sowing, each seedling raising box 5 is moved to the top shelf. The daikon radish is then shipped from the morning to the afternoon of the sixth day, but only those shipped in the afternoon receive watering for the 10th time. In this way,
Approximately two days after sowing, the seedlings are placed in a well-lit shelf room under indirect and direct sunlight until the day of shipment.
