Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide stable carrying function while using inexpensive rollers that do not require high accuracy by making the final carrying roller that dry the developed sensitized material accelerating type. CONSTITUTION:Sensitized material F passed through developing process is carried in from the direction A and adhering water drops are removed in a squeezing section 15 made up of opposed type rollers 15a, 15c and zigzag type rollers 15a, and dried by air from a blower 17 in a drying chamber 14 consisting of a zigzag type roller group 16a and opposed type rollers 16b. Then, direction is changed in U-shape and discharged. Even when the sensitized material F is slackened and shrinked by drying, the sensitized material becomes tense state as peripheral speed of the last zigzag type rollers 16b is increased. Accordingly, stable carrying of long sensitized material is ensured, and the accuracy is not required for peripheral speed tuning of rollers, and inexpensive rollers are available.

The photosensitive material in this apparatus is conveyed in parallel with the processing through the respective U-shaped paths by the respective conveying roller groups installed in the processing liquid in each tank, so that each processing liquid and washing It fully absorbs water and expands, reaching an elongation of 0.8 to 1% in the conveying direction. Especially in the case of long roll-shaped photosensitive materials, walnuts occur between the conveyor and rollers, making the conveyance unstable. In extreme cases, the paper wraps around the conveyance roller and becomes impossible to convey.

In order to prevent such accidents, in conventional automatic developing devices, the entire drying chamber 4, squeeze section 5, drying section 6
A measure is taken to absorb the walnuts in the photosensitive material due to expansion by making the circumferential speed of one of the conveying roller groups slightly higher than that of each of the conveying roller groups in each of the processing tanks described above.

However, once the photosensitive material enters the drying section 6, it may shrink at a certain point. Unless the circumferential speeds between the rollers are synchronized, normal conveyance will not occur, which requires high precision in roller machining, resulting in increased costs.

The present invention forms a conveyance roller group in a drying section with a plurality of staggered rollers and a pair of opposed rollers, and increases only the circumferential speed of the opposed rollers compared to the other conveyance roller groups. This is an automatic developing device having a conveyance roller for drying and conveying a photosensitive material that has undergone development processing, and is characterized in that a speed-increasing roller is provided at the last of the conveyance rollers or at a roller near the last roller. This is achieved by an automatic developing device.

In the present invention, the configuration of the conveying roller in the squeeze section 15 is such that the inlet and outlet portions of the frame are arranged with opposed rollers (
A pair of rollers (pairs of rollers) 15a and 15c that rotate in pressure contact with each other are arranged, and a zigzag roller group (a plurality of rollers that rotate at a distance from each other) 15b is arranged between them to remove water droplets adhering to the photosensitive material F. At the same time, the conveyance direction thereof is turned vertically so that it can be fed into the drying section 16.

On the other hand, in the drying section 16, the facing plate roller 15
A zigzag roller group 16& continuing from the zigzag roller group 16&c and an opposing roller 16b forming two pressing surfaces by three rollers are arranged, so that the photosensitive material F conveyed from the squeeze section 15 is moved to the zigzag roller group 10m. In the process of passing through the Proa 17
The device is dried by being blown by air, and after being turned into a U-shape by the opposed rollers 16bK, it is discharged outside the apparatus. Staggered roller group 16 instead of roller group
& In addition, the peripheral speed of each roller of the staggered roller group 161 & and the squeeze section 15 is kept equal to the peripheral speed of the conveyance roller in the processing section for development, fixing, and water washing, and only the opposed roller 16b is set at its circumferential speed. It is a speed-increasing roller with increased speed.

As a result, even if the photosensitive material F undergoes changes in its condition, such as walnuts due to elongation or shrinkage due to drying, it is guided in the conveying direction by the staggered roller groups 15b and 16& without any trouble, and then the tip of the When the photosensitive material F reaches the opposing plate roller pair 16b, the entire photosensitive material F becomes under appropriate tension due to the difference in circumferential speed, thereby eliminating and preventing the occurrence of sagging and allowing normal conveyance.

As is clear from the above explanation, in the present invention, the tension state of the photosensitive material is created by increasing the speed of only the last conveying roller. Precision for synchronization is not required, and therefore the rollers can be easily processed and costs can be reduced. The speed increasing roller described above is not limited to the final roller such as the opposing plate roller 16b, but can be applied to a newly provided opposing plate roller near the final roller to achieve the same effect.
