Abstract

PURPOSE:To effectively use a pilot signal and to simplify a transmission euqipment by transmitting the information signal on the pilot signal in a manner not to change the level of the pilot signal. CONSTITUTION:A head end 1 transmits the pilot signal of constant level. By this signal, the AGC of a trunk line amplifier 2 is activated. The information signal is transmitted to a terminal equipment 3 with a constant output. In such a case, instead of the signal generator in the head end 1, an FM modulator of a frequency (264MHz) that is the same as that of the pilot signal is used. By this modulator, the pilot signal is applied with frequency modulation. Because no fluctuation of level of the pilot signal occurs in case of the frequency modulation, the signal has no problem to use it as an AGC signal. Therefore, necessity of furnishing the carrier wave in other way, hence the transmission equipment is simplifed.

調の場合はパイロット信号がレベル変動しないため、パ
イロット信号はAGC信号として使用するのに支障がな
い。
