Claims (1)
式等のエネルギー吸収装置を備えて同エネルギー
吸収装置の前後にて前方及び後方ブラケツトを介
して車体の一部に緩角度にて組付けられメインシ
ヤフトを回転自在に軸支するようにしてなるエネ
ルギー吸収ステアリングコラムにおいて、前記後
方ブラケツトとして前記コラムチユーブの車両前
方に向かう軸線方向への移動をガイドする機能を
備えたブラケツトを採用するとともに、前記前方
ブラケツトとして前記エネルギー吸収装置のエネ
ルギー吸収開始荷重とは異なる荷重にて車両前方
へ塑性変形を開始してその塑性変形時にエネルギ
ー吸収可能なブラケツトを採用したことを特徴と
