Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the cost in cleaning by providing a heating device to heat a seam part from the outer face of a pipe and by arranging a reflection body for heating the inner face of the pipe. CONSTITUTION:A heating furnace 10 is installed on the center part of a sliding frame 2 to ascend and descend via a cylinder 3. A burner 13a together with a combustion chamber 13 is arranged on the upper end part of the furnace 10. An opening part 12 which is along the seam part is provided on the lower end part of the furnace 10 and also a reflection body 16 is suspended via a hanger 17. When a blank pipe is transferred, the burner 13a is ignited with detecting it by a proximity sensor and burnt. Consequently the seam part of the blank pipe 7 is heated by the radiated heat from the inside of the furnace through the opening part 12 and also heated by the reflected heat of the reflection body 16. With this method the seam part of the blank pipe 7 is effectively cleaned and the cleaning cost can be reduced.
