Abstract

PURPOSE:To form a three-dimensional decorative material to be used in interiors of buildings by a method in which a paint film for embossed patterns is formed by screen printing on the surface of a base material, and a given pattern is formed by a decorating device on the surface of the paint film. CONSTITUTION:An undercoat film 2 of acrylurethane for example is provided to an asbestos-slate base plate 1 of a thickness of 6mm. A water dispersive epoxy paint of wine color is screen-printed on the surface of the base plate 1 by using a 30-mesh 5cm-square tile-patterning screen board to form and embossed square tile-pattern paint film 3 of a wet thickness of 250mum. The paint film 3 is heated at 80 deg.C for 5min., and a rubber plate with a rose flower pattern is pressed on the half-dried paint film 3. The patterned paint film 3 is dried and hardened at 80 deg.C for 30min. A top coat 4 of urethane-clear lacquer, having a dry thickness of 30mum, is provided on the film 3 to obtain a three-dimentional tile-feeling panel of wine color-rose flower patterns.

By changing the resist thickness, it is possible to form a raised pattern coating film of any desired pattern and thickness, and it also has the characteristics of being able to form even complex patterns sharply.
It is widely used in interior materials, signboards, posters, etc.

However, although the screen printing method has the above-mentioned characteristics, it is difficult to impart gradation to the surface of the raised pattern coating, and therefore it has the disadvantage that it becomes monotonous. Therefore, gravure is applied to the surface of the raised patterned coating film.

Methods have been proposed to create three-dimensional multicolored patterns by painting using printing methods such as offset and offset gravure, but the appearance of these methods lacks a natural appearance because the printing is simply swirled onto a flat raised coating film. The problem was that it had a flat finish, lacked three-dimensionality, and required a special, expensive printing machine.

The present invention will be explained in more detail below. Substrates used in the present invention include those with a smooth surface, such as plywood, particle board, wooden materials such as hardwood, metal materials such as iron, aluminum, and stainless steel, other plastics, paper, cloth glass, Examples include ceramics, concrete, slate, and stone. It goes without saying that the surface of this base material may be subjected to appropriate treatment, such as surface treatment or coating with clear, color clear, enamel, etc., as required.

Screen printing is applied to the surface of such a substrate, in other words, by using a screen printing method, the paint is moved on a screen with an appropriate number of meshes, the areas other than the necessary pattern areas are covered with resin, etc., and the pattern areas that are not hidden are covered with screen printing. After pouring paint only into the mesh, a raised pattern coating is formed by raising the screen. 20 to 120 screens are used
A medium or square size is suitable; a rougher material than this range will not be able to express delicate small patterns, and a thinner material will lack a three-dimensional effect, so it is not desirable.

Furthermore, the paint used can be those conventionally used for screen printing, such as solvent-based paints, water-based paints, and solvent-free paints. In other words, as solvent-based paints, nitrocellulose lacquer, acrylic lacquer, acrylic urethane paint, amino alkyd paint, urethane paint, epoxy paint, etc. can be used, and as water-based paints, vinyl acetate-based, acrylic-based, styrene-butadiene-based, and epoxy-based paints can be used. Emulsion paints such as, water-soluble paints such as alkyd and acrylic paints, hydrosil paints, etc. can be used. Furthermore, solvent-free paints such as unsaturated polyester, acrylic, and polyester paints can also be used. The viscosity of these paints is 1o.

After forming the multi-patterned coating film in this manner, the pattern is stamped while the coating film is in a state of plastic deformation. Note that the above-mentioned state of plastic deformation means that after the coating film is screen printed,
This refers to the state in which a coating film is softened by heating, solvents, etc. before it is semi-dry or even after drying. A suitable method for imprinting the raised pattern coating film is to press a material, such as a wood block or a rubber block, on which the desired pattern has been applied in an uneven manner. This method uses screen printing paints that have a higher viscosity than regular paints, so there is less transfer of the paint film to the woodblock or rubber plate even immediately after printing, and the pattern is uniform and has a sharp appearance. can be obtained. Further, the molding on the raised pattern coating film may be deep enough to reach the substrate, or may be only in the vicinity of the surface layer, regardless of whether it is a relief pattern or a carved pattern.

Furthermore, during molding, a mold release agent may be applied to the surface of the material, if necessary, to prevent paint from transferring or adhering to the surface of the material. In addition, the mold release agent can be colored in a color that matches the pattern before molding. It becomes possible to provide both at the same time.

After forming the mold in this way, it is dried at room temperature or baked. In addition, it is of course possible to apply a coating such as clear, color clear, or enamel to further impart abrasion resistance and aesthetic appearance to the surface.

In the decorative material obtained by the method of the present invention, a three-dimensional raised pattern coating film is formed by a screen printing method, and the coating film surface is further patterned to give a certain gradation change. The molding gives a beautiful three-dimensional design effect that closely resembles that of tiles, Kamakura-bori or sculpture relief, and when the surface is coated with color clear etc., the coating pattern is
The sharpness and raised areas give it an extremely three-dimensional feel and a sense of substance. Furthermore, the method of the present invention, which allows decorative materials with such three-dimensional effects and design effects to be obtained using simple equipment and processes, can be said to be an epoch-making method that cannot be obtained using conventional methods.

Example 1 A gray acrylic urethane coating was applied. A wine-colored water-dispersed niboxi-based screen printing paint was screen printed on the surface of a 6-layer asbestos slate board using a 30-mesh 5-on square tile pattern screen plate to create raised square tiles with a wet film thickness of 250μ. A patterned coating film was formed.

Example 2 A clear water-dispersible acrylic screen printing paint was screen printed on the surface of a 12°C thick plywood board with a teak veneer attached using a 60 mesh floral pattern screen plate.
A raised floral pattern with a film thickness of 150 μm was formed. 80
℃ for 10 minutes, and in a heat-softened state, it was molded using a wooden mold in which the veins of a petal with carnauba wax applied as a mold release agent were carved into lines, and then cooled. Next, an acrylic urethane color clear was applied to the entire surface to a dry film thickness of 20 μm and dried. The resulting decorative material had a floral pattern with delicate and beautiful line engravings, giving it a relief-like appearance.
