  1. ピストンピンに結合する小端部とクランクシャフトに結
    合する環状の大端部とを含む内燃エンジンのコネクティ
    ングロッドであって、前記小端部と前記大端部の各中心
    点を結ぶ縦軸線の下端部近傍と該縦軸線に直交し且つ前
    記大端部の中心点を通る横軸線近傍にお、いて、前記大
    端部の外周外方向を肉厚とした補強部が設けられてなる
    ことを特徴とする内燃エンジンのコネクティングロッド
    。
