CONSTITUTION:Edge portions inclined downward in closing direction to be engaged water-tightly are provided at the hatch coaming 8 side of hatch cover 1 which will move along a pair of horizontal rails 5 onto a hatch coaming 8 to be closed. At the corresponding positions of hatch coaming 8, inclined engaging portions to be engaged water-tightly with said inclined edge portions through a packing 7 under closed state of hatch cover 1 are formed at the opposite sides. Consequently, water-tight engaging operation can be performed simultaneously with closing operation of hatch cover 1 resulting in simplification of entire structure.
