Sheet-shaped sweets that are convenient for printing include biscuits (crackers, rice crackers, etc.), large candies, chewing gum, etc. However, in the present invention, it is necessary to contain an acidic component in the sweets. Chewing gum or kyandi are suitable. Edible acids particularly suitable for the above-mentioned confectionery include citric acid, tartaric acid, and the like. On the other hand, the food pigments that are the main components in the ink used in the present invention include Red No. 3, Red No. 104, and Red No. 105.
There are xanthene-based synthetic pigments such as No. 1, which do not develop color in acidic conditions, and it is necessary to use ones that develop color in alkaline conditions.

These ink compositions, which are mainly composed of pigments that do not color under acidic conditions but develop under alkaline conditions, are made by mixing the above-mentioned pigments with auxiliary agents such as 8 lees, thickeners, emulsifiers, water, alcohol, glycerin, etc. Ink is prepared by a conventional method by mixing citric acid or tartaric acid as an acidifying agent in addition to sugars and food oil. Furthermore, if the confectionery itself is alkaline, it would be meaningless if the surface of the confectionery was printed with the above-mentioned ink, as the color would immediately develop.

Therefore, it is necessary for the confectionery itself to be acidic, or for the surface to be at least not alkaline.

In other words, the present invention provides an ink containing food coloring as a main ingredient which is colored in acidity and colored in alkalinity on the surface of a sheet-like confectionery such as chewing gum which has at least an acidic or neutral surface, that is, at least a non-alkaline surface. A latent pattern is printed on the surface, and the pattern can be revealed by rubbing the surface with a finger or touching it with a brush using an edible alkali powder or liquid powder before eating. It is a confectionery printed on the paper.

Although a latent pattern was printed on the surface of the confectionery with acidic ink, which does not produce a starry color, and whose main ingredient is alkaline food coloring, sodium bicarbonate, sodium citrate, etc. are needed to make the pattern develop. When the surface on which the latent pattern is printed is rubbed or licked with a fingertip or the like, the pattern develops in color.

Further, the alkaline coloring agent may be an aqueous solution instead of a powder. In this case, the color develops directly upon application. In other words, a pattern that does not change color due to acidity is printed on the surface of confectionery, and it is impossible to tell what kind of pattern it is, but the pattern becomes visible only after it is converted to alkaline using the method described above. The unexpectedness draws the interest of children in particular, and it is expected that the sales volume of sweets will increase.

The oil-dextrin balance can be changed arbitrarily, and a wide range of printing methods can be applied. This ink was uniformly applied onto a silk screen and transferred onto the above-mentioned gum sheet using a rubber squeegee or roller to obtain gum printed in a pale pink color.

When this color dries, it becomes the same tone as the pink color of the gum fabric, and the printed design is completely invisible to the naked eye. For example, when this product is sprinkled with starch containing 10% bicarbonate of soda powder and rubbed with the fingertips, a red pattern appears on the surface.
