Abstract

PURPOSE:A confectionary, prepared by printing an ink consisting essentially of a food dye capable of fading under acidic conditions and developing the color under alkaline conditions on the surface thereof, and capable of developing the color of the pattern by alkalinizing the surface thereof. CONSTITUTION:A confectionary, e.g. chewing gum or candy, individually assuming the acidity or having at least the nonalkaline surface, and prepared by printing any pattern with an ink consisting essentially of a food dye capable of fading under acidic conditions and developing the color under alkaline conditions, e.g. Food Red No. 3 or 104. The surface of the confectionary having a pattern printed with a powder, e.g. sodium bicarbonate or sodium citrate, or a mixture thereof with an edible powder, e.g. sugar or starch, is rubbed while smeared with a fingertip, etc. or licked to develop the color of the pattern.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION It is known to print designs on the surface of confectionery products. Sheet-shaped confectioneries that are convenient for printing include biscuits (crackers, rice crackers, etc.), large candies, chewing gum, etc., but in the present invention, it is necessary to contain an acidic component in the confectionery. Chewing gum and candy are suitable for this purpose. Edible acids particularly suitable for the above-mentioned confectionery include citric acid, tartaric acid, etc. 1. On the other hand, the food colorings that are the main components in the ink used in the present invention include Red No. 3, Red No. 104, Red There are xanthine-based synthetic dyes such as No. 105, but none of them develop color in acidic conditions, and it is necessary to use one that develops color in alkaline conditions.

Ink compositions whose main components are pigments that do not develop color under acidic conditions but develop under alkaline conditions are made by mixing the above-mentioned pigments with auxiliary agents such as beta starch, thickeners, emulsifiers, water, alkaline alcohol, glycerin, etc. Ink is prepared by a conventional method by mixing citric acid or tartaric acid as an acidifying agent in addition to sugars and food oil.

1. If the confectionery itself is alkaline, it would be meaningless if the surface of the confectionery was printed with the above-mentioned ink, and the color would immediately develop.

Therefore, the confectionery itself must be acidic, or the surface must be at least alkaline.

Although a latent pattern was printed on the surface of confectionery with an ink whose main ingredient is food coloring, which does not change color in acidic conditions but develops color in alkaline conditions, sodium bicarbonate, sodium citrate, etc. are needed to make the pattern color. When the surface on which the latent pattern is printed is rubbed or licked with a fingertip or the like using powder or a mixture of this powder and an edible powder such as sugar or starch, the pattern develops color. The ground alkaline coloring agent may be an aqueous solution instead of a powder. In this case, the color develops directly by applying it.

In other words, a pattern that does not change color due to acidity is printed on the surface of confectionery, and it is impossible to tell what kind of pattern it is, but the pattern becomes visible only after it is converted to alkaline using the method described above. The unexpectedness draws the interest of children in particular, and it is expected that the sales volume of sweets will increase.

The raw materials having a composition of 0.7 are thoroughly stirred and mixed in a homogenizer to form an emulsified state. The viscosity of this solution can be arbitrarily changed by adjusting the balance of glycerin-alcohol-oil-dextrin added, and a wide range of printing methods can be applied.

This ink was uniformly applied onto a silk screen and transferred onto a gum sheet of one's own using a comb or roller to obtain gum printed in pale pink. When this color dries, it becomes the same tone as the pale pink color of the gum fabric, and the printed design is completely invisible to the naked eye.
