Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve reliability in time detection by forming circumferentially plural contact points on a base plate, connecting the contact points except one point to each other by means of resistors, providing a contact piece which rotates to contact slidingly with each contact point and measuring the resistance between the connecting ends on the circumference and the contact piece. CONSTITUTION:Twelve contact points 2 are formed in the 1-12 o'clock positions on the same circumference of a base plate 1. The contact points 2 are connected to each other by means of resistors 3. The parts between 1 o'clock and 12 o'clock are not connected. A contact piece 5 is fixed to a clock pipe 4 penetrating through the center of the circumference of the plate 1. The piece 5 contacts with the point 2 at every one hour. The contact points in the 12 o'clock and 1 o'clock positions are connected respectively to the + side and - side of a power source. The voltage outputted from the piece 5 increases successively with the display of the hour hand and therefore a time-announcing sound is generated at every one hour by detecting said voltage.

For example, in a mechanical analog display type electronic time clock, a 4-bit pattern electrode representing each code from 1 to 12 o'clock is formed on the board, and on this pattern electrode, four clocks rotate in conjunction with the hour hand. There are devices that detect the displayed time by sliding the contact piece. According to this, a common electrode is required in addition to the pattern electrode, and if the contact pieces that slide on this common electrode are included, a total of five contact pieces are required.

Therefore, there are problems in terms of reliability, complicated structure, and poor assembly. Furthermore, if one of the contacts has a poor contact, the time will be reported with the wrong number of strokes, and there is a drawback that the poor contact cannot be corrected.

Therefore, the present invention provides a time detection device that is simple in construction and highly reliable, requiring only one contact. An embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. In FIG. 1, contacts 2 and 2 are formed on a substrate 1 at positions 1 and 12 o'clock on the same circumference, and printed resistors 5 and 6 are formed between each contact. The center of this board 1 is moved by an hour hand pipe 4 which is a moving device.
is passed through, and the contact piece 5 is fixed to this. Therefore, the contact piece 5 rotates in conjunction with the rotation of the hour hand (not shown), and when the hour hand indicates 1 to 12 o'clock, the tip of the contact piece 5 is the contact point 2 - at the 1 to 12 o'clock position. It collides with 2. The contacts at the 12 o'clock and 1 o'clock positions are connected to the (+) and (-) sides of the power supply, respectively, so as the hour hand sequentially displays 1 to 12 o'clock, the voltage generated from the contact piece 5 changes in stages. will continue to increase.

FIG. 2 shows an example of this detection circuit. In the figure, 6 is an hour detection switch, 7 is a clock pulse generation circuit, and 8 is a code signal generation circuit, which sequentially generates a binary code signal of 12 to 1 every time a clock pulse is supplied. 9 is a D/A conversion circuit that converts the above code signal into a voltage, which is approximately equal to (slightly lower than) the voltage from contact piece 5 when the hour hand displays 1 to 12 o'clock for code signals 1 to 12, respectively. It is set to generate a voltage. Reference numeral 10 denotes a comparator circuit, the (+) input of which is supplied with the voltage from the contact piece 5. 11 is a latch circuit, 12 is a time signal circuit, and 16 is an arrest flop circuit.

In the above configuration, the contact piece 5 is in elastic contact with the contact point 2 for a predetermined time before the hour. When the hour comes, switch 6 in Figure 2 is turned on.
is closed, the flip-flop circuit 13 is reset, and the clock pulse generation circuit 7 generates a clock pulse.

This clock pulse sequentially generates 12 to 1 code signals from the code signal generation circuit 8, which are converted into voltage by the D/A conversion circuit 9 and supplied to the comparison circuit 10.

For example, if it is 2 o'clock, the contact piece 5 will have /1.0 when the power supply voltage is E volts. A voltage of volts is generated and applied to the (+) input of comparator circuit 10.

Therefore, an output is generated from the comparator circuit 10. As a result, the flip-flop circuit 13 is set, the clock pulse is stopped, and the code signal 2 is latched into the latch circuit 11. The output of the latch circuit 11 generates a time signal twice, thereby announcing the time of 2 o'clock.

Further, in the above embodiment, the base plate 1 is fixed and the contact piece 5 is rotated, but in contrast, the base plate 1 is fixed and the contact piece 5 is rotated. 1 may be rotated in conjunction with the hour hand.

In the event that a contact failure occurs in the contact piece, no input voltage is supplied to the (+) input of the comparator circuit 10, so that no output is generated from the comparator circuit 10 and no time notification is performed. Therefore, an incorrect time is not reported as in the conventional case, and abnormalities can be noticed immediately.
