Abstract

PURPOSE:To produce easily the product with complicated shape, simplifying the operation of manufacture by forming the powder of tortoise shell under heating and pressurizing, after said tortoise sheel has been ground into the powder like short fibers. CONSTITUTION:After tortoise shell have been ground into the powder like short fibers, this powder of the tortoise shell is formed under heating and pressurizing, whereby the tortoise shell base material or its product is produced. Thus, as the tortoise shell powder is used as a raw material, it is unnecessary to classify the tortoise shell powder based on its shape or size. The tortoise shell unable to be used due to its thin thickness in one process of heating joint, and the scraps having been conventionally thrown away such as chips and cut wastes generated at next working, may be utized. Further at the same time, the base material or the product having no joints, total uniformity and arbitrary size or shape may be produced easily and quickly. The heating temperature of the tortoise shell powder is preferably 90-150 deg.C, and the applied pressure thereto is preferably 50- 500kg/mm.<2>.

Conventionally, the method for producing this type of tortoiseshell base material or product is to stack plate-shaped tortoiseshell raw materials and heat and pressurize them. The so-called searing method is known, in which tortoiseshell base materials and products of desired thickness are created by bonding
When using this method, the ingredients are curved and uneven in terms of thickness, color tone, and shape, such as being thick in the center and thin at the throat, so the selection of ingredients to be stacked,
In addition, it requires a high level of skill and a great deal of effort to stack the selected raw materials, and in order to ensure that the raw materials are bonded together, it is necessary to apply oil from your fingers, etc. to the mating surfaces of the raw materials. Because the nine raw materials must be stacked together with great care to ensure that they do not fit together, it is very difficult to work with, and the seams can easily break if holes such as beads are drilled along them. Since this is unavoidable, there is a drawback that subsequent processing must be carried out with great care so as not to make holes along the seams, which is extremely troublesome work. Furthermore, in order to manufacture products with complex shapes, it is necessary to cut out a plate-shaped substrate and rely on subsequent processing such as engraving, which results in a large amount of scraps and shavings, resulting in poor yields. However, there were drawbacks such as increased costs.

本発明は、かかる従来の諸欠点を一掃できる方法を提案

An object of the present invention is to propose a method that can eliminate such conventional drawbacks.

The method for producing a tortoiseshell base material or product according to the present invention, which was developed to achieve the above object, is characterized by pulverizing tortoiseshell into short fibrous powder, and then molding this tortoiseshell powder under heating and pressure to create a tortoiseshell base material or product. The function of the method of the present invention, which is characterized in that it produces materials or products, is as follows.

In other words, since tortoiseshell powder is used as a raw material and molded, there is no need to separate medium-thick tortoiseshell materials by shape or size. It is possible to use even things that were previously thrown away, such as shavings, and
Seamless, uniform base materials and products of any size and shape can be easily and quickly produced. Moreover, since the tortoiseshell powder is not granular but short fibrous, it is possible to obtain a product with no chips or cracks due to the fibers intertwining with each other in the same way as the original tortoiseshell powder.

Therefore, according to the present invention, tortoiseshell base materials and products without chipping or cracking can be manufactured at low cost with good workability, yield rate of approximately 700%, and resource saving effects can also be achieved.

以下、本発明方法の実施例を説明する。Examples of the method of the present invention will be described below.

When molding tortoiseshell powder, it is desirable to apply vibration to the mold in order to align the fiber direction and fill it evenly. Also, the fibrous powder is bonded and solidified only by the gelatin contained in tortoiseshell. However, other hard gelatin substances can also be added for adhesion and hardening.

In addition, by uniformly filling a mold with tortoiseshell powder, it is possible to obtain a tortoiseshell base material or product with a uniform hue, and by manipulating tortoiseshell powder of various hues within the mold, desired patterns ( For example, it is possible to obtain base materials and products with a lattice pattern.
