Conventionally manufactured expansion pipe joints include A type and E type.
Type A has great flexibility and is ideal as an expansion pipe joint, but the operating pressure is low and when the pressure deforms, the rubber in the center of the joint comes into contact with the bolt on the flange, and it also causes buckling during high vacuum decompression. In addition, the E type has a small allowable displacement in the axial shearing direction, making the range of use narrower than the A type, and it is necessary to insert wires, iron rings, etc. in manufacturing. There are many problems, such as a large number of manufacturing steps and high costs.

The present invention was made to solve the above-mentioned problems, and includes both flange parts, an arch part between them which bulges in a substantially U-shape, and a connecting part connecting both flange parts and the arch part, A reinforcing cloth impregnated with a thermosetting resin or a mixed composition of a thermosetting resin and a small amount of elastomer is applied to both flanges or connecting parts and the central protruding part of the arch, and a reinforcing cloth is applied to the hem of the arch. By laminating elastomer-impregnated reinforcing fabrics that do not contain thermosetting resin, applying rubber to the entire surface, and molding them under heat and pressure, reinforcing fabrics reinforced with cured resin are provided at both flanges and the connecting area, covering the entire surface. It is characterized by being provided with rubber.

Note that 8 is a retainer ring. The reinforcing cloth 5 is, for example, a nylon cloth impregnated with a thermosetting resin such as a phenol resin, an epoxy resin, a melamine resin, a urea resin, or a mixed composition of these resins and a small amount of an elastomer.
The reinforcing cloth 6 is a nylon cloth or the like impregnated with an elastomer compounded composition that does not contain a thermosetting resin.

The reinforcing cloth 5 is attached to both flanges 1, 1' to the connecting part 2°2.
' ranges A and A' and the central swelling part C of the arch part 3,
In addition, the reinforcing cloth 6 is arranged and laminated on the hem part 1) and D' extending from the base of the arch part 3 to the central swelling part C, and the entire surface is coated with rubber liquid, and then heated under pressure using a predetermined mold. The vulcanization reaction of the rubber and the thermosetting of the resin impregnated into the reinforcing cloth 5 proceed simultaneously, and the strength of the reinforcing cloth 5 is increased by the cured resin, and the covering rubber layer 7 is formed over the entire surface, as described above. A new expansion pipe joint can be obtained.

Both flange parts 1, 1' and the arch part 3 between them
As mentioned above, the resin of the reinforcing cloth 5 impregnated with thermosetting resin hardens in the ranges A and A' of both quick contact parts 2 and 2' which are connected to each other, and in the central swelling part C of the arch part 3, resulting in great strength. However, since the hem part of the arch part 3 is reinforced with reinforcing cloth 6 impregnated with an elastomer compound composition that does not contain thermosetting resin, it can be deformed, so when the joint is used, it will not deform unnecessarily. Even if the reinforcing cloth 5 is laminated, areas A, A' and C do not deform and the arch hem, D
Not only does it function well as an expansion pipe joint due to the deformation of the arch part, but it is also highly reinforced by the hardening of the impregnated resin of the reinforcing cloth 5 laminated on the central swollen part C of the arch part. Since the ring phenomenon is prevented and deformation is well prevented, there is no risk of the arch part coming into contact with the bolt for tightening the flange due to abnormal deformation of the connecting part and arch central expansion part, as in the conventional case, making it highly safe. It is.

The present invention has the above-mentioned configuration and function, and exhibits high strength due to the hardened resin of the reinforcing cloth impregnated with thermosetting resin, and especially in the central swollen part of the arch part, the pressure is reduced in the same part. In addition to improving the drawback of being easily buckled and deformed when the fabric is bent, the thermosetting resin-impregnated reinforcing fabric eliminates the need for reinforcement with conventional iron wires, iron rings, etc., and eliminates the need for tightening and inserting and arranging them. This is an excellent idea with great practical benefits, as it reduces manufacturing man-hours and reduces costs.
