Conventionally, laser processing methods for cutting or welding metal plates with laser beams are already well known. However, in the past, when trying to cut metal plates by stacking them one on top of the other, even if the first metal plate could be cut, the laser beam would not reach the second metal plate. It was not possible to cut the board because it would scatter it when it was cut.

By the way, conventionally, the outer material and lining material of automobile seats, etc. are cut separately into the desired shape, and the two are joined together by basting, and then the final binding is carried out.
The work was time-consuming.

The present invention focuses on the fact that textiles can be cut with a laser beam even when overlapped, and that the outer material and lining material of the above-mentioned automobile seats can be welded together by heat. It is characterized by stacking a plurality of fabrics that can be welded together by heat, cutting them into a desired shape with a laser beam, and welding the fabrics together at the cut portion. This invention provides a method for cutting and welding textiles using a laser beam, thereby eliminating the need for basting.

Further, the outer material 11 and the lining material 13 pulled out from the processing table 17 are inserted into the exit side clamper 18 in the overlapping state, and separated from the exit side clamper 18 and each pair of feed rollers 19 are placed one below. .20 and then wound onto take-up reels 21 and 22, respectively.

In the above configuration, first, both clampers 1B and 18 are opened, and each feed roller 14, 15, 18, 20 is driven to feed a predetermined length of outer fabric 11 and lining fabric 13 to each supply reel io, ]

Start each of the motors 6 and press the outer material 11 and the lining material 13.
The laser nozzle 4 is moved in the X direction and the Y direction relatively to the front material, and the outer material 11 and the lining material 13 are cut into a predetermined required shape.

At this time, the product 23 cut from the outer material 11 and the lining material 13 is made of a material that welds to each other when punched with a laser beam in a stacked state. The outer material 11 and the lining material 13 are integrally welded to each other, and the product 23 is -

On the other hand, the product 23 carried out from the processing table 17 together with the remaining part 24 is forcibly separated from the remaining part 24 by one person while maintaining the welded state between the outer material 11 and the lining 13 of the product 23. At this time, even if the product 23 and the remaining part 24 are welded together, the welded part, that is, the cut part is weaker than other parts, so the product 23 can be separated from the remaining part 24 relatively easily. In the separated product 23, the outer fabric 11 and the lining fabric 13 are welded together in the separated state, so it is equivalent to the state in which conventional basting has been completed, and therefore, the binding is immediately performed thereafter.

Furthermore, the remaining parts 24 of the product 23 that have been punched out are then forcibly released from the welded state, and are respectively wound up on take-up reels 21 and 22, respectively. It goes without saying that the remaining portion 24 may be wound up as a whole without being separated.

As described above, the present invention involves stacking a plurality of fabrics that can be welded together by heat, cutting them into a desired shape with a laser beam, and welding the fabrics together at the cut portion. This eliminates the need to separately cut the outer material and lining material into the required shapes, and also makes it possible to directly perform lock stitching without basting. The effect is that the work can be made easier.
