Claims (1)

    【実用新案登録請求の範囲】
  1. 車両用エンジンの一以上のシリンダに通常の吸気弁及び
    排気弁とは別個に設けられた第３の弁又は上記排気弁を
    、車両のエンジンブレーキ走行時にピストンの圧縮上死
    点付近で開いてシリンダ内の圧縮された空気をシリンダ
    外に排出するように構成すると共に、上記エンジンと同
    エンジンの排気ガスによって駆動される排気ガスタービ
    ンとの間の排気管内にその流通面積を制御する排気ブレ
    ーキ弁を設け、車両のエンジンブレーキ走行中、エンジ
    ンの低回転数域では同排気ブレーキ弁を略全開し、エン
    ジンの高回転数域では、上記排気ブレーキ弁を部分的に
    開いて、上記排気管内の圧力をエンジンの排気弁が自己
    開閉する圧力以下に保持するように構成し、更に上記排
    気ガスタービンの排気ガス導入通路を複数の通路に分割
    すると共に同分割通路の少くとも１個に弁装置を設け、
    同弁装置を上記排気ブレーキ弁の部分開度時に閉鎖する
    ように構成したことを特徴とするエンジンブレーキ装置
    。
