Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a hard and light compression molded product by a method wherein at least one of semi-hard or hard chip urethane foam is mixed with soft chip urethane foam and this mixture is dispersed uniformly in urethane resin. CONSTITUTION:As chip material is used a mixture obtained when semi-hard chip urethane foam and/or hard urethane foam higher in density than soft chip urethane foam is mixed with said soft chip urethane foam. In this manner, the chip material in which chip urethanes different in density are mixed is kneaded with urethane adhesives and then, reacted slowly, compressed into the necessary shape, hardened to the specified density and pressed to obtain a compression molded product finally in which chip urethane foam is uniformly dispersed in urethane resin.

The chip urethane foam subjected to this press molding is generally made of soft chip urethane foam as the main raw material. Therefore, the product obtained by press molding such chip urethane foam has a good cushion f1, but its hardness is not high. It was often used as low-hardness parts. In other words, in order to use such pressed products as parts such as high-hardness pads, it is necessary to increase the hardness by compressing them at a considerably high pressure. There was a problem in that the chip urethane foam breath molded product became heavy and lost the advantage of being made of pumice. In addition, in this case, the amount of materials used also increases, resulting in an inconvenience that the cost of the product increases.

The constitution of the invention, that is, the press-molded product of chip urethane foam of this invention is made by mixing soft chip urethane foam with at least one of semi-hard chip urethane foam and hard chip urethane foam, and uniformly dispersing this in a urethane resin. It is characterized by:

As described above, this invention uses a soft chip urethane foam mixed with a semi-hard chip urethane foam and/or a hard urethane foam having a higher density than the soft chip urethane foam. As the semi-hard chip urethane foam to be mixed with the soft chip urethane foam, for example, waste materials of urethane bumper forms can be used.

The ratio of semi-hard chip urethane foam and/or hard chip urethane foam to soft chip urethane foam is 11 parts of semi-hard chip urethane foam and 30 parts of hard chip urethane foam to 100 parts of soft urethane foam. It is preferable that the amount is 50 parts by weight or more. If the hardness of the lifting platform product is less than 30 parts by weight, the hardness will be insufficient, and if it exceeds 50 parts by weight, the product will be too small. After kneading with the adhesive (that is, coating the chip with urethane adhesive), it is slowly reacted and compressed into the required shape, and then hardened and cured to the desired density.
By molding, a press-molded product in which chip urethane foam is uniformly dispersed in the urethane resin is finally obtained.

In this invention, it is necessary to mix the above-mentioned chip urethane foams with different densities and to disperse them uniformly. Therefore, as a device for mixing the chip urethane foams and cross-talking them with the urethane adhesive, for example, 2@reciprocal rotation is used. It is preferable to use a screw drum type mixer.
